Hathatatvakaumudi (Chapter 10, Verse 28)
Original Verse：
"उभाभ्यां पूरयेद्वायुं कुम्भयित्वा यथाविधि |
उभाभ्यां रेचयेद्वर्त्मगतिः कुम्भः शिवोदितः ॥ २८ ॥"
Transliteration：
"ubhābhyāṃ pūrayedvāyuṃ kumbhayitvā yathāvidhi |
ubhābhyāṃ recayedvartmagatiḥ kumbhaḥ śivoditaḥ ॥ 28 ॥"
Translation：
"Inhale through both the nostrils and hold upto the limit and exhale through both nostrils. This is Varttmagati Kumbhaka propagated by Siva."
