Hathatatvakaumudi (Chapter 12, Verse 18)


Original Verse: "राजदन्तयुगुलान्तमस्पृशन् सन्निधाय रसनां तदन्तिके ॥

काकचञ्चुपुटमारुतं पिबेत् प्राणसंयमनमेतदुत्तमम् ॥ १८ ॥"


Transliteration:

"rājadantayugulāntamaspṛśan sannidhāya rasanāṃ tadantike ॥

kākacañcupuṭamārutaṃ pibet prāṇasaṃyamanametaduttamam ॥ 18 ॥"


Translation:

"Without touching the front teeth and placing the tongue near them, one should draw the air in by making the lips like the beak of a crow. This is a superior practice of Pranayama."
