Hathatatvakaumudi (Chapter 10, Verse 3)
Original Verse:
"विधिवदनिशस्मीरणप्ररोधैर्-वपुषि शिरावलये विशोधितेऽन्तः ॥
विशति मरुदरं महापथास्ये हठं विना भुजगी मुखं ह्यऽपास्य ॥ ३ ॥"
Transliteration:
"vidhivadaniśasmīraṇaprarodhair-vapuṣi śirāvalaye viśodhite'ntaḥ ॥
viśati marudaraṃ mahāpathāsye haṭhaṃ vinā bhujagī mukhaṃ hya'pāsya ॥ 3 ॥"
Translation:
"Prolonged practice of Pranayama in the manner prescribed renders the tubular vessels of the body (siras) purified internally which facilitates the forceful entrance of marut into the mouth of the bhujagi (Kundalini)."
