In this clip taken from discourse titled, "Accept and Transcend & The Oneness", Swamiji tells us that this Shiva Sutra was practiced by Him prior to enlightenment. He tells us that we constantly want to be defined because we are actually emptiness because nothing stays inside our inner space. In this sutra Shiva tells us to remember that if you are a wav, you are constantly connected to the ocean regardless of whether the wave is raising or falling. In a similar way we are connected to the cosmos all the time and are that. We are an expression of a small wave in the cosmic ocean.
