पूरब विधि परि आगानै नीचौ हौई कल्हूणी फणा स्यौ लगाई हाथ आगानै धरती लगावै पसारि दोऊ हाथ की अञ्जुली करै भू यडी परि लगावै द्रिष्टि नासा अग्र आसण कौ गुण सरिर बिथा जाई
"puraba vidhi pari ägänai nécau haué kahüëé phaëä syau lagäé
hätha ägänai dharaté lagävai pasäri doü hätha ké aïjülé karai
bhü yaòé pari lagävai driñöi näsä agra äsaëa kau guëa sarira bithä jäé ॥"
Translation
Sit on the ground with legs extended infront. Bring both soles together keeping knees sidewards on the ground. Bend the head forward place elbows on legs and extend hands on ground. Form a hollow of hands. Direct the gaze at the tip of nose.
Instruction
1. Sit with the soles together, knees sidewards.
2. Bend forward and rest the elbows on the legs.
3. Place the palms on the ground.
4. Make a hollow of the hands
5. Gaze at the nose tip"
