Sadāshiva samārambām shankarācharya madhyamām Asmadācharya paryanthām vande guru paramparām.

Let us enter into today’s Sutra. 12th Sutra in the first chapter, first section: Anandamayobhyasaat... See, in the Vedic tradition, every master has to find the source of his philosophical teaching from this Brahma Sutra. If he wants to claim he belongs to Vedic tradition, he has to connect his teachings with Upanishads, he has to connect his teachings with Gita, he has to connect his teachings with Brahma Sutra. Everybody has to come under the classification of these three book. They are called Prasthana Traya in Sanskrit. Three major books. Everybody has to be classified by these three books. You have to fall into the category of these three books means please understand, you should be able to connect yourself with these three books. You have to trace back the source of your teaching to these three books. You will have to find out some Sutra which exactly tells your experience or what you mean to the world. Only then you can be a authentic guru from the Vedic tradition, the Hindu tradition.

I can say among the hundreds of Sutras, this Sutra Anandamayobhyasaat is the essence of Nithyananda Sampradaya. This is the essence of our tradition. So through this sutra, we connect our whole life, philosophy, teaching, living, everything to the Vedic tradition. So this sutra is that important. So we will have debate on this Sutra, en-debate on this sutra for next one week. We will drill this Sutra into our being. Not only that, I declare, from today this sutra we will use it as a caption- the vision statement for our mission in as many places as possible wherever we need to present our vision statement, our essence of our philosophy, our contribution to the world, to the human consciousness. We will use this sutra as a essence.

Anandamayobhyaasaat... I wanted to add the importance of this sutra first with My words. I wanted all of you to understand the importance of this sutra. Then I will translate. That is why I am not translating. I am keeping in suspense because this is going to be now Mahavakya for us. Anandamayobhyasaat. Every tradition from the Hindu tradition has to catch some sutra from Vedas means Upanishads or the Brahma Sutra or Bhagavad Gita. So as I said, through this sutra we can directly connect all My teachings, techniques, principles, philosophies, everything to the Vedic tradition. We can now say very clearly we belong to Vedic tradition because what we teach is directly from the source, from Brahma Sutras.

Anandamayobhyasaat. Let Me translate now. It is a translation of Swami Gambhirananda. The blissful one is the Supreme self on account of repetition. Swami Veereshwarananda translates as the self consisting of bliss etc. Brahman which is spoken of as the tale is put forward as an independent entity and not as something subordinate to anandamaya, the self consisting of bliss on account of the repetition. Swami Shivananda translates as anandamaya means parabrahman on account of the repetition of the word bliss as denoting the highest self.

Let us see how Saraswati translates Anandamayobhyasaat. Source is bliss because of repetition. What to make out of this one statement? Hundreds of understandings and clicks can happen from this one sutra. Source is bliss because again and again it is told in Shastra pramana, again and again it is told in Apta pramana, again and again it is told in Atma pramana... Again and again it is told in Shastra pramana, again and again it is told in Apta pramana, again and again it is told in Atma pramana. This can be one understanding. Again I can translate. Bliss is the source or source is the bliss or Parabrahman is bliss or bliss is Parabrahman because again and again and again when you return to source, you experience bliss. Again and again you experience bliss only when you return to source. Returning to source is bliss. Returning to bliss means being in source.

Thousands of clicks can happen just with this one great truth anandamayabhyasaat. I can give you one more way of understanding. Because of our experience, abhyasaat means our experience, our habitual experience, we can say anandamaya is the source. Anandamaya is the cause. Cause is ananda. Source is ananda. As I explained in last few days of sutras, Bhagavan Veda Vyasa, Badarayana Vyasa goes on and on and on in different aspects of Enlightenment, in different aspects of source. Each day in each sutra we are studying different aspects of the source. One day, he said source is truth. Then he says source is intelligence. Today he says in this sutra source is bliss, ananda. The sacred secrets from this sutra, source is bliss. So always come back to the source. Source is bliss. So stay in the source. Parabrahman is bliss. So anything other than bliss don’t let your life to be with that. Don’t settle down for anything which is other than bliss. Anything other than bliss, anything other than source cannot be the ultimate, cannot exist even in the middle time.

Please understand, if something will not exist after your Enlightenment that cannot exist even before Enlightenment. If something is going to disappear after your Enlightenment, that cannot exist even before your Enlightenment because anything exists has to exist forever, anything cannot exist cannot exist forever. Sacred secret from this sutra is, live only in things which is bliss, nothing else. Don’t compromise your life for anything. No need to waste your life on anything other than bliss. I tell you, bliss is worthy of sacrificing anything for it but nothing is worthy of sacrificing bliss for it.

Let us understand bliss. Let Me be honest. Let Me be very honest. I am not able to translate or define bliss. Bliss is the intense excitement for everything, of everything, without anything. Bliss is intense excitement of everything, intense excitement for everything, overflowing for nothing, overflowing without anything. I can go on defining bliss. Just one moment before I said I am not able to define bliss. Now I am saying I can go on defining because till you know how to make thread out of cotton, you will say, “No, I can’t.” Once you know how to make thread out of cotton, you will say, “I can go on making because I have enough cotton.”

Same way, when I said I can’t define bliss, I have bliss but I don’t know how to describe in the words. Now because I described once, I can go on and on and on and describe but I don’t want to describe just because I need to describe, no. I wanted to describe which will make you practical. Please understand, I do feel responsible for taking so many of your time. I do feel responsible for your time. So I am not going to waste talking or giving the useless meanings. I will give the meaning which will be directly a technique or click for you. Intense excitement of everything, for everything, without anything.

The very life which vibrates in you before you even start thinking why are you alive or why are you vibrating. There is a life vibrating in you. Before even you start thinking why are you vibrating, why are you alive, that life is bliss. That source is bliss. Understand, not having the trust over... not only master or teacher, understand, I created a space and go on creating a space for a man to flower into the extraordinary trust; sometime as a guru, sometime as a father, sometime as a teacher, sometime as a friend, sometime as a mother. In so many ways, I go on creating a space for you to flower. You do not know, actually man does not understand one great truth.

Your whole life is worthy of only one strong feeling connection with somebody, not even to guru or master or god. Even to the friend or a spouse or anybody, if you have a strong feeling connection, trust on that person makes you stand up in your life again and again, makes you wake up in your life again and again, makes you feel that he is the source of your strength again and again. I can say, you can give your whole life, even then, it will not be equivalent. I think all of you understand what I mean. If somebody gives you the experience that you are able to trust in you, somebody makes the space that you are able to trust him and stand up again and again in your life, I tell you, don’t even bother about him. You having that trust is much more than your life. Your whole life is worthy of giving just for that.

This trust on the master is always considered especially by the western mental set up as a favour done to the master. You need to have a tremendous tapas to develop the trust, feeling connection with the master because just by casual words, he will liberate you. That is too much. Deep trust and feeling connection with the master is the umbilical cord through which life is pulsating in you like how through umbilical cord, the mother’s life is pulsating in a child, till the child is matured enough to breathe on its own, live on its own. Same way, the deep trust and feeling connection with the master is the umbilical cord which is pulsating Enlightenment in you till you become completely Enlightened and start radiating it. If the umbilical cord is disconnected for some reason before the child is able to independently breathe and live, what happens? Abortion. Baby dies. Same way, if the umbilical cord is...the spiritual umbilical cord of the deep trust and feeling connection is disconnected before the person becomes matured and Enlightened and starts radiating and sharing his Enlightenment, the cord is disconnected, that is spiritual abortion.

Whoever feels by having trust on Me, they are benefited. I am doing a favour to them by creating a space where they can trust and grow. I thought only let them have trust over Me... Gurudroha is the worst thing like Karna trying to steal knowledge from Parashurama, telling a lie about his origin as he knows. Actually, if you see the truth, Karna did not tell a lie. He said he is a kshatriya. He is a kshatriya because he is born of Surya and Kunti. So he is kshatriya but he doesn’t know. As he knows, he is only a sutaputra, son of horse driver - charioteer. So, he did not reveal what he knows about his introduction. I think he told himself as brahmana. Anyhow, some way he introduced which he doesn’t know as he. Finally in some situation the Parashurama realises he told a lie and Parashurama immediately curses him, “At the moment of necessity, high, important necessity, all the knowledge which you learnt from me will be forgotten.”

See, this is the worst punishment. Actually Parashurama killed Karna. Nobody else killed. The guru droha killed Karna because if Karna knows he doesn’t have all these brahmastra all these vidyas, he would not have at least had confidence and given confidence to Duryodhana and Bhishma and everybody, went to the war directly with Arjuna face to face. At least he will know what he knows and what he doesn’t know. So he wouldn’t have gone to fight with Arjuna directly. His strategy planning for his fight would have been proper but unfortunately he had the courage and confidence he knows that vidya, knowledge to kill Arjuna but because of guru droha, when he entered, last moment, important moment, that knowledge was forgotten... Whoever has done guru droha, be very clear, at every crucial, important moments of life, when all this great knowledge and the experience and the truth which you received from the master not only will not come to memory, suddenly will not be there. I am not Parashurama. So, I won’t curse but this is the logic with which these truths function.

See, when you have the umbilical cord connection with the physical mother, your body constantly gets energy, support, food, everything and grows, grows, gets more and more matured. Same way, when you have the spiritual connection with the Master, all the words He utters becomes an alive click and experience in your inner space. It becomes a strong experience but anything which has become experience through the umbilical cord, spiritual umbilical cord connection of the Master continues to depend on the energy supply from that spiritual umbilical cord... till He Himself delivers you. Like at one point, mother’s womb itself delivers you. It says, “Enough, now you can breathe on your own, live on your own.” Same way, Master himself delivers you, “Come on, enough. You can live on your own. You can breathe on your own.” If that happens, you will not have hatred towards Him. You will have tremendous gratitude.

All of you who understood, having trust on Me is the favor I am doing to you, not the favor you are doing to Me, understand? If you are clear, by letting you all to have trust in Me, I am doing a favour to you. Not you are doing a favor to Me by having trust on Me. Whoever has this understanding, I bless you all. This sutra anandamayabhyasaat, the source is bliss will become experience to all of you. Now I am sending a strong energy through the spiritual umbilical cord to all of you. Whoever understands, having trust on Me, letting you having trust on Me is the favor I am doing to you, not the favor you are doing to Me. If you are clear about this one truth, I am telling you I am sending you this strong spiritual energy through the spiritual umbilical cord. Let this experience anandamayabhyasaat happen in all of you, source is bliss. You all will be in source which is bliss. Bliss is source; source is bliss.

I am not interested in cursing the fellows who got disconnected because what more is there to curse? To serve ultimate, amazing devotion and respect from all kinds of people-intelligent, rich and I have seen the worst things of the life-unimaginable defamation, imprisonment, illegal harassments. I have seen everything. I tell you, if somebody comes and asks Me, “Swamiji, give me most worthy thing happened in Your life to me, one gift,” I will give you the trust, the feeling connection I developed with Arunagiri Yogeswara or Raghupati Yogi or Kuppammal. I can say that is the most worthy thing I had in My life. That is the most powerful, subtlest flower, subtlest, greatest thing. I can say I can sacrifice anything for that. The feeling connection I had with Arunagiri Yogeswara. I can sacrifice anything for that. All My identity, credibility, name, fame, money, bull and everything but I can tell you, I cannot sacrifice that for anything. I cannot sacrifice that for anything.

So I bless all of you and I have a deep gratitude when Kuppammal, I know her as Kuppammal. She was not in the space I am...the space in which I am now. Not only now, after My age of twelve, the space in which I was, Kuppammal was not there in that space till she left the body. There was a period I was Enlightened and Kuppammal was not. There was a period I was Enlightened and Raghupati Yogi was not, but I tell you, My feeling connection and the tremendous trust on both of them... was an amazing thing in My life and I still cherish and if somebody asks Me the best thing happened in My life and if they ask Me that as a gift, I will give this only to them.

I had a same trust which I had on Arunagiri Yogishwara, to Kuppammal and Raghupati Yogi and that has done a huge job. So much of energy wastage was stopped because of My trust on them. It just led to next, next, next, next level tak, tak, tak, tak and so much of R and D, Research and Development in the spiritual field happened without the wastage of time. It is like a...you can never become a crorepati by begging one rupee, one rupee, one rupee. Only if some crorepati writes off Will and gives all his property, you will become crorepati overnight. Otherwise by the time you beg ten rupee per day, you would have spent eight rupee. When will you become crorepati? So in My life also, because of My feeling connection strongly with them, all the research and development I need to do for the... My mission happened just like that. The ideas and truths which were coming out of them, because of My spiritual umbilical cord connection with them entered My being, filled My being and just I can say that is one of the best thing happened in My life. If somebody had that spiritual connection and missed it, it is not My failure. It is their failure.

In the Arunachaleswara temple in the entrance, there will be statue of Mohini. Why you know? Because Arunachaleswara is such a compassionate being, embodiment of energy, whoever goes and asks for whatever things, he gives it away. Because of that, all the fellows who are not qualified go and take too many things and abuse Arunachala’s compassion, Arunachaleswara’s compassion, take him for granted and do all wrong things in the society because of the boons and powers they receive from Arunachaleswara. So Vishnu decided this same thing cannot happen go on. If this same thing goes on, I cannot do my sustenance job, maintenance of the Universe. So he comes and stands as a Mohini outside the temple near the entrance. Whoever is not qualified, he mesmerises them, hypnotises them by his dance and takes away that boon and energy. When you come out of the temple, you will be standing there and if your attention gets diverted, that’s all! He will just take away whatever you brought from Arunachaleswara and he will send you back empty-handed as you came.

Same, just for that reason only I put Kalabhairava here. The greatness or the importance of the spiritual umbilical cord. By letting people have trust and creating a space where the trust can grow, Master is doing a great favour to people, to disciples. Spiritual umbilical cord makes the whole thing easy. When I utter these great truths, it just automatically makes a strong living, vivid experience in your brain when the spiritual umbilical cord is alive. Because the spiritual umbilical cord was alive, just few seconds the Guru says, “Tatvamasi Shwetketu tatvamasi.” “Tatvamasi Shwetketu tatvamasi,” that fellow becomes enlightened. All guru did was just saying, “You are That.” Suddenly he became enlightened. Because the spiritual umbilical cord, I can tell you, anything can be lost but not the spiritual umbilical cord in the life.

I really, really, really feel sorry for people who lost that spiritual umbilical cord. I feel it is unfair competition: competition between Kamsa and Krishna. How unfair it is! See, but what to do? Krishna never calls for competition. It is Kamsa who calls. Krishna never starts the fight. It is Kamsa who starts the fight. Narasimha never goes and hits Hiranya. It is Hiranyakashipu who tries to break the pillar just because Vishnu is inside. He was there in his place lying silently, sleeping... Blessed are those who retain that spiritual umbilical cord.

Today I was just relaxing in the evening. That time I saw very clearly how people who maintain their spiritual umbilical cord, all the truths which are happening in Me is directly going, it is like automatic email system I saw. Automated email system these ideas are going, getting circulated. It is directly reaching all of them. Anything gets ground in Me, any new update comes, automatically the email is going to them. You don’t even come and sit for the next Satsang. If you come and sit, you will enjoy that same truth from Me, listening from Me once more. Otherwise, the truth itself directly gets transmitted how the Padmapada received all the knowledge just by the spiritual umbilical cord, nothing else. All Padmapada had is the spiritual umbilical cord connection with the Shankara. Padmapada never used to sit for much of these philosophical discussions and all that. He will always be serving Shankara.

One day, disciples made fun of him, made some comments about him. This fellow is only washerman, washing the clothes of Shankara all the time. He is not going to get enlightened. He is not going to get all these knowledge. Then Shankara smiles and wants to show all other disciples the power of Padmapada. He calls Padmapada who was in the other side of the river. That guy, in such excitement that master called him, runs with so much excitement, he even forgot there is a river in between him and master. He runs on the river. When you are having such a deep, extraordinary feeling connection, spiritual umbilical cord, Nature completely respects you, reveres you, protects you. The river sees, “Wow! Such a great being! He is running over me. His very feet is blessing for me. So she holds his feet through the lotus. Wherever he puts his feet, lotus appears and he crosses the river. That is why he was named as Padmapada. Wherever he put the feet, Padma appeared, lotus appeared.

I bless all of you for retaining that spiritual umbilical cord. You will all experience anandamayabhyasaat, source is bliss. I tell you all, never receive, never turn your hand up to receive. Go on giving. This is law of life. When you are not turning your hand to receive, God will see here and there, “Arey, where to put? Where to put? Where to put?” If you turn your hand up to receive, he will dump how much you can receive in your hand, just how I give chocolate but if you are not turning your hand at all to receive and you are continuously giving, giving, giving, then what to do? Then he just showers. Alright, shower him completely. Fill him with wealth. I tell you, we will be filled with wealth. Go on giving. We will go on giving, giving, giving, giving, giving. You will see and it is happening. We will be filled with wealth.

Bliss attracts fortune. As I am blessing all of you, as I am blessing all of us today, the bliss will happen. Bliss is the source the truth we experienced. I bless you all. We will attract fortune also. I will shower on all the devotees also... This should be the solid proof that My blessing. The bliss is the source should become realization in all of you. All of you experience that source. Please understand, the scale that this blessing is working on you all will be the amount of fortune and wealth gathers around you. You will see it happens. I have come down with so many auspicious things... These extraordinary powers and Siddhis is specially for the people who are able to retain that spiritual umbilical cord connection. Whoever is able to retain that strong, spiritual umbilical cord connection, let you all be filled by wealth.

Today we started officially our Veda Vidyalaya. All the priests have come. The classes have started... I gave them the introductory lessons. First thing I spoke to them was: be leader. It is time that we create leaders. Wealth, everything follows the leaders. Then I decided, “I will not only teach, I will empower also.” Now I am empowering all you guys. I am blessing all of you. For all of you, the Brahma Sutras will happen. I tell you, arey, after all, it is My gift. I am telling you very clearly. It is I who has happened as Panini, who has happened as Badarayana, who has happened as Shankara, who has happened on the planet earth again and again as the happening of Brahma Sutra, the happening of the energy. So this blessing is in My discretion. I am giving you, guys. It doesn’t come under any cosmic law. It comes under the discretionary power of an Incarnation.

So I bless you all. I am the Incarnation for this very sutra- Bliss, Ananda. So as My discretionary power, I bless you all. Let all of you...for all of you I give My blessings. You will experience intensely the cosmic Bliss, the source Bliss. What Vyasa Badarayana, Vyasa says as anandamaya, through this sutra what he describes as Bliss is source, that Bliss, unadulterated source Bliss, let that become experience of your inner space. That will happen to all you guys. That is happening now to all you guys and as always the by-product of Bliss, Bliss attracts fortune. Let you guys attract fortune from now. Nothing needs to be done. You guys don’t need sadhana, don’t worry. Understand, I do have a discretionary power. With that, I bless you guys. I will prove this. I will prove this, understand. Whatever word I uttered now will become reality. It is becoming reality. Through this, I will prove My discretionary power.

All the devotees, understand, from now, your inner space will vibrate the truth from this sutra-anandamayabhyasaat. The truth which Badarayana, Vyasa wants to express through this sutra. The source is Bliss. That will happen in you guys from now and as the by-product, side effect, you will attract fortune, all auspicious fortune and I tell all you guys, all the devotees in your personal life and all the organisers, devotees who are working for our Sangha, for Sangha- both, you will have wealth. I will shower. See usually masters function as per cosmic law. There are some areas- grey area, they have discretionary power. So this time, Bliss and wealth is My discretionary power. In all other sutras, I just don’t interfere. Alright, let the cosmic law function. If I want, I can interfere that is different but this is a complete discretionary power. So with My discretionary power, I bless you all.

It does not when I say I can cross the cosmic law means, you don’t need to have any other spiritual practice. You don’t need to do any difficult things. Let all of you experience the truth anandamayabhyasaat. Let all of you experience. The source is Bliss and you are source. Let the Bliss source open up in you, happen in you as the side effect. Let the auspicious, fortunate things be attracted towards you including wealth. Let us...we will attract wealth, create huge infrastructure to teach this science to the world. It will build world’s tallest buildings just to teach this ideology. We will build huge structures and temples to teach these great truths.

Just yesterday I was telling, after sometime, I want to spend all My time. In one hand, one hand I want to put it on My hip and look up. In the other hand, I want to support Myself on the golden staff, look up only the tall temple towers I am building. That is the way I am going to live, understand. Just putting the hand in one hip and supporting Myself in another hand in the golden staff and looking up continuously, “Oh! This temple tower! What, it is supposed to be 400 feet. Oh, 360 feet over! Okay, I think 40 more feet. It will take alright, maybe three months more.” I will go to city to city, town to town, village to village, just to stand and see the tallest temple towers I am building to teach these great truths, to make people experience these great truths.

Actually only when I prove to the world through you guys, even you guys will have more confidence and courage to talk to everybody. Just for that, I will shower you guys in your inner space with intense Bliss and outer space with all fortune and wealth... I want to tell all you guys this also. Now I tell you guys young don’t have to practice any spiritual practice. Forget about it. Nothing else is required. Understand, it is My discretionary power. I have discretionary power to give Enlightenment and liberate people. With My discretionary power, I am liberating you guys, giving you the intense Enlightenment and the experience of this great truth: Bliss is the source, you are Bliss. I liberate you guys from all practice. You don’t need to do anything. If you are feeling like, want, like a entertainment, do anything. Otherwise don’t even bother. I have the discretionary power.

When you trust the Master, you are indebted to Him for creating a space for the trust to happen. I wanted to prove this because forever in future, not a single fellow should even think in his wildest dream that Master should be grateful for him, for him trusting the Master. I want to teach this lesson to the world. When you are feeling connected and trusting the Master, it is adding to you, not to the master and He is not dependent on your trust. He is only creating a beautiful space where the trust can happen.

Once Sharada Devi goes to Bodh Gaya, sees the Buddhist monasteries and creates a sankalpa, “How nice these Buddhist monks are having food and able to meditate but my sanyasis are just begging from street to street and no place to put their head to rest.” At those days Ramakrishna Mission was in utter poverty. They were facing their crossroads. So many rumours about Vivekananda. Lot of opposition from all quarters when Ramakrishna Mission was in crossroads. Sharada Devi makes a sankalpa, “Let wealth shower on my kids. Let them have all the necessary things for the sadhana and spiritual unfoldment.” That’s all. That sankalpa, over! Whole Ramakrishna Mission happened!

I am clearly not just making sankalpa, commanding all the powers landed in this body, with this body, for this body and too much has landed this time. Don’t worry at all. We have enough for everybody and more. I order all these powers. Open up. It is after all in My discretionary power. Let it start expressing the auspicious things. Bliss in your inner space; wealth and power in your outer space. Through this kundalini effect, en-effect, I clearly programmed inner Bliss and outer wealth and power. All you guys are fortunate. Today you came and sat for satsang. Good, good. You will attract now. We will attract. I bless you guys. Let you all have wealth and let us build only golden temples all over the world. We will build only golden temples. What is the use of gold if it is not going to be used for building temples? We will build golden temples all over the world and tell the world the power of the 12th sutra of Brahma Sutra. Just the power of this one sutra I wanted to show. Source is Bliss. You are the source. You are Bliss. Because you are Bliss, you attract fortune. That’s all.

From now, wherever you guys put My photograph, wealth will shower. I am releasing a special energy - command. Alright, I will prove now whatever I said is going to come true. At least in few places from My photograph and Paduka, the golden coins will come out now. We will see. By tomorrow we will get this news. Then all of you will understand whatever I said is going to become reality and it is becoming reality. We will prove. We will get the news and photograph. Whatever coin comes out, you keep it for yourself. Just send the photograph, that is enough. It is a gift for your center and your ashram or you, for you. If it is from your house, it is for you. If it is from your center, it is for your center. If it is from your temple, it is for your temple. Just send the photograph. We will see it happens. After all, it is My discretionary power.

See, the gold shower, gold coin shower on that poor lady was a discretionary power of Adi Shankara. Same way, I do have some discretionary power. So I bless you guys. How one small amalaki fruit given to Adi Shankara, she was showered, golden shower, same way, for all you guys I shower. That is why you see, wherever Shankara’s establishments are there, wealth showers because He came down with energy of wealth also. I have come down with energy of wealth.

I welcome you all with My love and respects. Today’s subject ‘Become a perfect lover’. In Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 130th sutra in 3rd chapter 24th verse. Beautiful sutra. Patanjali is speaking about love. Patanjali doesn’t talk ‘Oh there is a rose, there is a moon, river flowing’. No. He is not that kind of a man. I can be 100% sure Patanjali would have never had romance in his life because the iota of romance or the light mood does not exist throughout Patanjali’s works; whether it is his Mahabashya or Ayurveda or his Yoga sutras even his works of siddha tradition, nowhere.

So I have no doubt he had a snake body. Snake body is a symbol of awakened kundalini, so the whole energy has gone to the sahasrara. He was too busy in his avataric mission. He is incarnation of adisesha. He came down to experience Shiva’s dance-cosmic dance in him and express that in the form of grammar and yoga sutra and ayurveda. The most funny thing is, throughout his sutras, his songs, verses, nowhere even a slight mention of Devi. I am surprised; all his stotras and sutras he has done many stotras also on Shiva. Nowhere he talks about Devi. The place where he had darshan of Shiva, Devi is just standing next, after all dancing with Shiva. Nowhere he talks about it.

But suddenly here is a sutra on love. And the funny thing is, he is not even talking about the love in a masculine sense. You see the love in the aspect of masculine sense is more like a philosophical; philosophizing the love. Means go on talking about it - ‘When you experience love these kind of hormones secrete in your brain and this is the way eye changes, this is the way body changes.’ Go on philosophizing, talking about it and destroy the power and joy of love. That is what I call philosophizing love - masculine version of love. But Patanjali is not even touching that line. He is straight away touching the feminine version of love.

I am surprised, a guy who never shows even one symptom or a ray of love, romance; in such large voluminous works… you see when you write only one book you can hide many of your characters, many of your qualities in one book. But your whole life is nothing but writing books and expressions, you can’t hide the innate personality of you or the characters, the main components of you. But a man like Patanjali who has written volumes and volumes… all the works of Patanjali if you put it together even if somebody has to pen down that, copy that, it will take at least few hundred years. So much of work has been done by Patanjali. Nowhere the component of Devi or romance happens.

I do not want that to happen to our sangha. That is the reason I put Devi on the lap of Shiva not even separately. Because if the Devi’s side is missing we will become such a dry sannyas sampradaya; it is feminine energy and the Devi aspect which keeps man not becoming terrorist. Otherwise the extreme fanaticism added with the aggressiveness of the masculine energy, does not bother about violence, lands into non violence. Little bit of feminine touch, the love dimension added, people will not become violent, terrorist. They will be more loving, compassionate, caring, cultured.

maitri-adishu balani; sutra just two word. Swami Vivekananda translates this sutra as: by practicing samyama on friendship. mercy etc the yogi exults in respective qualities. By making… Swami Prabhavananda translates as: by making samyama on friendliness, compassion etc one develops the powers of these qualities. Swami Sachidananda translates as: by samyama on friendliness and other such qualities the power to transmit them is obtained.

Love! Vast huge ocean! The subject which will taste different from different banks or beaches. It’s like a ocean taste in different, looks different in different places, feels different in different beaches. This emotion also… you can’t even use the word emotion. There is a question here. Is love just another emotion? It is not emotion, it is eN motion. It is the energy which makes motion happen in you towards enlightenment; from enlightenment towards enlightenment. When the glimpse of enlightenment starts in you and motions you towards enlightenment, the ultimate enlightenment, between that period what you experience is called love.

I will work on this subject chapter by chapter or dimension by dimension. So much I have spoken on love, still that subject remains untouched. Let Me first express from the angle of Patanjali. Patanjali talks about love here for the sake of samyama. Please understand, he gives us as technique. He says do samyama on these great qualities and excel in them. Through this he approves the expression of love. And he instructs all the yogis to excel in love. He makes this as a technique a powerful expression; expression of the consciousness in you. When it penetrates your blocking low mood logic and expresses itself in spite of your logic, it is called love.

Understand, inside you there is a intense super consciousness constantly waiting to break through your body and express itself. But your secured low mood logic which goes on saying, ‘No, no, no, you will be exploited, you will be exploited, you will be exploited.’ If you are so open, so alive, whoever goes around you will exploit you physically, mentally, economically. Men have a fear women will exploit economically if they are too loving. Women feel if they are too loving men will exploit them physically. Both of them feel if they are too loving others will exploit them emotionally. So always the fear ‘if you are loving you will be exploited’; very dangerous. So there is a certain logic in you which completely bans you from flowing.

I want all of you to know your life is like a river. Only two way of life exists. One the river which is embanked, the river which is dammed; embanked means don’t completely stop. Use it properly; only tell the river where it should not go, that’s all. Making the rules minimum so that the flow of life also is useful for you – it’s like making embankment for Cauvery or Ganga. There is another one way of life - completely blocking it. Stop. From now onwards we will tell, dictate, direct whatever you should do.

When the consciousness expresses in you, love is like embankment, guiding you, your flow. The insecured logic which is against the love is like a dam. Build the dam; that’s it. Then exploit as you want. All the fellows are afraid of bank but they don’t understand they are caught in the dam. The life flow in you is like a river. If you are afraid of love you are afraid of the embankment happening around you. True. Embankment also does some restrictions, but the fear of love, the secured logic which denies love, which goes on talking and creating ideas against love in you, is a dam. It just completely stops the life force. Not just the shining in the eyes, even the shining in the skin changes when you stop the flow of love in you.

Yesterday after the Brahma sutra discourse we were having eN debate. Then we were having samyama. The samyama we had lot of questions. Samyama means sitting and the exact meaning of the word samyama means again and again and again and again making the truth practical. Samyama has hundreds of meaning. I am giving you My own meaning. Of course, dictionary also accepts the meaning I am giving. Sometimes dictionaries don’t accept the meaning I give but I don’t bother about it. But in this case dictionaries also accept the meaning I am giving. Again and again and again making certain truths practical is samyama.

So we were having samyama session with all our ashramites. We were having lot of questions, discussions. So I was presenting a concept. It may be very shocking but I wanted this to be on record, so I am talking. I said that the money you generate by creating, not by grabbing or robbing or swindling or snatching from others… No. The money you generate by your creation, creativity, is equalent to the spiritual maturity. There was lot of discussion. No no. Some people may not have the attitude for money. I said there is nothing like that. These major four things - need to be intelligent, need to be powerful, need to be having all the rich infrastructure and need to be alive working. These four are basic tendencies of all human beings. In all of you there is a part of brahmana - need to be intelligent, there is a part of kshatriya - want to be powerful, there is a part of vyshya - want to be rich and expanding, there is a part of worker - wants to be alive, working, active. In all of you all four parts exist. If life energy is not flowing in one, please be clear in all other three also it will not be flowing. It will not be flowing. I can tell you.

You may think, ‘No, no, no, no, no. Spiritual people are always supposed to be in poverty, passive.’ An argument brought to Me, ‘Why Ramana Maharishi was such passive and non-working’. God! These guys are talking about Ramana Maharishi to Me! Arey just because all his pictures are taken when he was lying on the couch does not mean whole day he was lying. The photography was allowed in his ashram unfortunately only in the sabha where he was giving darshan. And most of his photographs are taken after he became old. Otherwise if you look into the reminiscences of Ramana Maharishi's life, he is such a workaholic person. From morning till night he himself will cook in the kitchen for visitors, he himself will do construction; take care of the cows and other animals in the ashram. There is enough of evidences, records, reminiscences that he is such a strong workaholic person. But unfortunately in course of time only the words he uttered gets recorded and becomes popular. Never the deeds he did becomes popular.

I wanted to make it clear, My life is My message not My message is My life. I am making it clear. Understand. My life is My message. My life is My message. Because unfortunately human beings go on understand only words and catch only the words and transmit only the words to the next, next generations, the same problem may happen even about Me after some time. Nithyananda was lazy person only sitting and talking; because all other things doesn’t get recorded. All other things doesn’t get presented. But I wanted the world to know I am active, workaholic person who works 20 hours a day average. And I stand for all four dimensions of life. If inner awakening happens in you all four happens in you. If all four are not happening in you, inner awakening has not happened in you. Relax!

And people go on justify their laziness into Ramana Maharishi's sattva. It is not that they are not interested in wealth or power, but they are not interested to take responsibility for it. The attitude and understanding is the problem; not the four dimensions or aspects of life. I want you to know, even with love it is not that you don’t want to be loving towards others or you don’t want to be loved by others, because everybody knows the power of love - how it heals you and heals others, how powerful it is in making your life juicy, rich, pickely. I am creating new word. Rasam has become a English word now. In Oxford dictionary they added the word rasam, guru. All this has become English word. We will make the word Avatar into English word.

Sweet experiences of love constantly reminds you when you open up. I am not talking about only romantic love which is towards one person. I am talking about the love suddenly opens up in you towards whole and your very self. Rarely you will fall in love with yourself. The yellow journalist who is sitting inside you constantly writing articles and editorials about you is dam for love. The fear he creates about love is not protection for you. It is destruction for you. Dam is not a protection for river. It is destruction for river. Only embankment is a protection for river. Love is embankment, logic is dam. Do samyama on love. That is what Patanjali says. Means sit and meditate on the intense beautiful inner space you go through when you are in love with you and with the whole.

Understand, here Patanjali is not saying contemplate on the love which was directed towards one person, no. When at sometime you just feel so good about being you, being who you are, but it happens very rarely. That’s a big problem. If you are feeling deeply good at ‘Wow! I am really worthy. I am really worthy of what I am. I am really worthy of life. I am really worthy of whatever is happening around me.’ When you are experiencing the love for yourself, suddenly you will experience that love for the whole. You will see that everybody, everything is worthy of what they are. The whole, when the love is experienced towards you by you, you will suddenly experience that towards the whole. So meditate on that love.

Surely every one of you would have experienced that kind of moments at least few times in your life. When you feel love towards you and the love towards the whole, everything; you feel like blessing everybody and everything. Do samyama on that inner space, not just the love directed towards one person. That may have its own investments, vested interests and all that. That is ok, nothing wrong. But that is not supposed to be the ultimate or Patanjali does not expect you to do samyama on that. Do samyama on the love experience which you had towards you, towards the whole. You will just excel, radiate those qualities. Not only that you will be able to transmit those qualities by your very presence.

The word, very beautiful word balani; maitri-adishu balani means strength… the strength has a three different definition. One you will have that quality, second you will be able to transmit that quality to others, third you know how to have that quality as a strength for you. He is not saying doing samyama on love will make you weak. No. I have seen many people claiming their weakness as love. No. Love will be out of strength and it will make you creative, alive. Balani. Patanjali uses the word strength, friendliness and love. When you contemplate on it, do samyama on it, when it starts expressing, it will be a strength, because you will be in love with you and the whole. Second, you will be able to transmit it. Third, you just know how to use that as a strength; power. You will just spontaneously declare things and you will fulfill it.

Just the other day very spontaneously I declared this year we will have Kailash yatra. We are going to have Kailash Yatra this year. Already we started planning; just a spontaneous declaration, and it just happens. Love in its pure intense form, love in its very source is strength. That is why Patanjali declares balani, be strong by excelling in love, radiating love. Let the samyama on love strengthen you.

Try, today whole day try samyama on love. The moments you felt so good about you, you loved yourself - how you look, how you feel about you, who you are. Remember those moments and remember when you had the love for the whole; remember those moments. Do samyama on it, do samyama on it. You will experience the strength of love.
