Daily Rituals (Nithyotsavam)
The Daily Rituals (Nithyotsavam) observed at KAILASA Salem are an integral part of the authentic Hindu temple routine established and revived by THE SPH. These rituals are designed according to ancient Hindu scriptures to generate powerful spiritual energy, purify the temple environment, and offer devotees a structured path for connecting with the Divine. The primary focus of the day’s activities was the Daily Abhishekam, the ceremonial bathing of the deity.
This profound ritual utilizes the science of sound and offering to cleanse and sanctify the presence of Paramashiva in the form of the Deity. The Abhishekam ceremony involves systematically bathing the deity with five sacred substances—milk, curd, ghee, honey, and water—known as the Panchamruta.
