With the blessings of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM — the ultimate manifestation, Paramavatara of Paramashiva — KAILASA Singapore celebrated the auspicious Varalakshmi Vratham ritual on August 15, 2024. This sacred utsavam (festival) served to invoke the grace of Goddess Lakshmi, the embodiment of fortune, spiritual wealth, and knowledge, marking the first time this powerful Hindu ritual was conducted in the center. The celebration brought together 25 participants, both at the physical center and online, seeking profound material and spiritual prosperity for themselves and their families. Supported by 6 dedicated volunteers, the event exemplified KAILASA's mission of reviving ancient Hindu spiritual technologies and enabling devotees to manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva.

Varalakshmi Vratham

The Varalakshmi Vratham was performed as a significant Hindu ritual dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, who is revered as the bestower of boons (Vara), abundance, and wealth. This was the inaugural celebration of the festival in KAILASA Singapore, signifying the expansion of the divine contributions of THE SPH and the deepening spiritual commitment of the local devotees. The entire ritual was undertaken with the profound intention of seeking the blessings of Devi Lakshmi for prosperity and abundance for the families and society at large, aligning with KAILASA's global humanitarian and civilizational revival initiatives.

The sacred ceremony began by establishing the right context and profound understanding of the ritual within Sanatana Hindu Dharma, ensuring all participants were aligned with the pure intent of the practice as taught and gifted by THE SPH. The participants, comprising 25 devotees attending both in-person and through online channels, first offered Sri Guru Puja to THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM, BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, acknowledging Him as the source of all grace and enlightenment. This was followed by a dedicated puja to Lord Ganesha, traditionally performed for the removal of all obstacles, preceding the elaborate puja offered to Devi Lakshmi.

A unique and powerful element of the Varalakshmi Vratham observed was the meticulous process of decorating the Kalasha, a sacred metal pot filled with water and rice, which symbolizes the entire Cosmos and the dwelling of the Goddess. Lakshmi energy was deeply invoked into the Kalasha during the puja, establishing a potent spiritual connection for the devotees. The ritual, traditionally observed by the women of the family, is a powerful spiritual technology for manifesting desired prosperity and abundance. Six dedicated volunteers tirelessly supported the orchestration of this intricate and beautiful Hindu ritual, ensuring its smooth and sacred execution, and allowing participants to fully experience the divine grace of THE SPH and all the gods and goddesses of KAILASA.
