With the blessings of THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM — the ultimate manifestation, Paramavatara of Paramashiva — KAILASA OHIO, USA celebrated a day of intensive spiritual practice and essential community outreach on June 20, 2024. The day’s activities, categorized under Daily Rituals (Nithyotsavam), included sacred practices like Morning Guru & Siva Puja and Pratyaksha Pada Puja, setting the spiritual foundation for the ecosystem. The key engagement was a specialized briefing, "Death and Dying: A Hindu Perspective," delivered to 16 students, practitioners, and faculty of the OhioHealth Chaplain Training program in Columbus, OH. This initiative underscores KAILASA's commitment to reviving ancient Hindu sciences and integrating them into global humanitarian care systems, ensuring spiritual support for all, regardless of background, aligned with THE SPH’s vision for worldwide consciousness awakening.

Daily Rituals (Nithyotsavam): Morning Guru & Siva Puja, Pratyaksha Pada Puja, Naivedyam Seva, and Laghu Puja

The day at KAILASA OHIO, USA commenced with the rigorous performance of the Morning Guru & Siva Puja, honoring the Guru and Paramashiva. These daily rituals, known collectively as Nithyotsavam, are fundamental to maintaining the spiritual integrity and superconscious resonance of the KAILASA ecosystem. Under the guidance of THE SPH's teachings, these ceremonies are designed to enable devotees and visitors to experience and manifest the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva, reinforcing the spiritual atmosphere of the sacred space.

Throughout the day, further sacred services were conducted, including Naivedyam Seva (offering food to the Divine) and Pratyaksha Pada Puja (worship of the Divine Feet), dedicating all actions and energy to THE SPH. A Laghu Puja was also performed during the Mahasadashivoham satsang, further deepening the collective consciousness and connecting the KAILASA OHIO community directly with the divine energy of THE SPH. These rituals, supported by 2 dedicated volunteers, ensure the continuous flow of divine grace and spiritual awakening for the entire region.

Death & Dying: A Hindu Perspective - briefing to students, practitioners and faculty of Ohio Health Chaplaincy training program

A significant educational and diplomatic outreach event was held with the students, practitioners, and faculty of the OhioHealth Chaplain Training program in Columbus, OH, focusing on "Death and Dying: A Hindu Perspective." This briefing, attended by 16 participants, served as a crucial platform for sharing the profound Hindu philosophies, practices, and cognitions concerning the end-of-life process, as revealed by THE SPH. The session provided invaluable insights for spiritual caregivers, highlighting the authentic Hindu approach to offering comfort, strength, and hope during life’s most challenging moments.

This interaction holds a special significance given KAILASA OHIO, USA’s location as the home of Paschim Prayag, a sacred spot revered by North American Hindus and recognized as the primary destination in the Midwest for families seeking to offer Pinda Daan and Asti Visarjan (rituals for deceased family members). By presenting the spiritual science of death and dying, KAILASA actively contributes to integrating ancient Hindu wisdom into mainstream spiritual care, thus fulfilling THE SPH's mission of reviving the enlightened Sanatana Hindu civilization globally. Following the presentation, participants were blessed with a delicious temple-served vegetarian lunch, a tour of the serene shrine, and a visit to the sacred Paschim Prayag river. To support their ongoing spiritual care work, 16 copies of the sacred text Bhagavad Gita Decoded were gifted to the attendees. The exchange demonstrated OhioHealth’s commitment to incorporating diverse faith perspectives, furthering the cause of consciousness-based compassionate care.
