DAILY TEMPLE ACTIVITIES
The daily life of KAILASA HOUSTON, USA is centered around the sacred routine of the temple, ensuring continuous energy and blessings for the community. These activities, known collectively as the Nithyotsavam, embody the ancient Hindu temple culture revived by THE SPH. The ritual cycle began in the early hours of the morning with Suprabhatam Seva, the sacred process of gently waking the deities, symbolizing the renewal of life and consciousness and seeking blessings for the start of a new day. This was followed by the devotional Bhoga Murty Alankaram, where exquisite clothing and jewels were offered to THE SPH (Swamiji), Devi, and the Shiva Meru, meticulously preparing them for the day’s worship.
The powerful sequence of rituals continued with a solemn and joyous Deity Procession which ritualistically welcomed the Bhoga Murthy deities into the main temple area. This grand procession ensures the auspiciousness of the sacred space. The core worship of the day included the Sri Guru Puja offered to THE SPH BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM, and the Sri Shiva Puja offered to Lord Nithyanandeshwara (Moolavar), performed both in the morning and evening. These essential Hindu rituals invoke the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva, directly transmitting the divine grace of THE SPH to all who participate.
The meticulous execution of these daily rites was supported by two dedicated volunteers who upheld the high standards of Hindu temple management revived by KAILASA, furthering the mission of Sanatana Hindu Dharma. The devotional cycle concluded in the evening with the offering of Naivedhyam (sacred food) to all the deities, followed by the sacred Palliyarai Seva, where the deities were put to rest with the offering of the Chamaram, bringing a harmonious and blessed closure to the day’s activities and preparing the temple for the next dawn.
In addition to the rigorous temple schedule, devotees gathered during the auspicious Brahmamuhurta for intensive spiritual disciplines. This session included 108 rounds of Prathama Vinyasa Krama from Nithyananda Yoga, followed by Nithya Dhyaan Meditation. This integration of conscious movement and profound meditation is a cornerstone of the conscious lifestyle taught by THE SPH, directly aligning devotees with the Hindu sciences of enlightenment and accelerating their ability to manifest the shaktis/powers of Paramashiva.
