KAILASA HOUSTON DAILY TEMPLE ACTIVITIES
The daily activities at KAILASA HOUSTON are a manifestation of the Hindu science of Nithyotsavam, establishing a consistent sacred space dedicated to the divine presence of Paramashiva and THE SPH. This comprehensive routine ensures that the temple deities and the surrounding environment are constantly energized, serving as a powerful spiritual vortex for devotees in the region. The day commences in the sacred Brahmamuhurta time with the Suprapatam Seva, the ritualistic awakening of the deities, which simultaneously symbolizes the devotees’ own inner awakening and the seeking of blessings to begin the day with superconsciousness. This sacred start also included specific spiritual practices, such as the performance of the 108 Prathama Vinyasa Krama of Nithyananda Yoga and Nithya Dhyaan Meditation, preparing the participants to manifest the enlightened state.
Following the awakening, the deities are honored through Bhoga Murty Alankaram, where sacred clothing and jewels are offered to the divine forms of THE SPH, Devi, and Shiva Meru. This is followed by a Deity Procession, welcoming the Bhoga Murthy deities into the main temple area with traditional Hindu rituals. The core of the day’s worship cycle involves offering Sri Guru Puja to THE SPH BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM and Sri Shiva Puja to Lord Nithyanandeshwara (Moolavar), performed both in the morning and evening, reinforcing the devotees' connection to the ultimate source of spiritual power.
The dedicated observance of these rituals culminated in the evening with Naivedhyam, the offering of consecrated food to all the temple deities, followed by Palliyarai Seva. The Palliyarai Seva marks the conclusion of the day, as the deities are ritualistically put to sleep with sacred offerings and Chamaram (waving a ceremonial whisk), preparing the temple for the next cycle of Nithyotsavam. This entire sacred cycle was smoothly managed and executed by 2 dedicated volunteers, whose service hours are a direct contribution to KAILASA's commitment to reviving authentic Hindu temple traditions and providing continuous access to spiritual technologies for human consciousness evolution.
