Description of video

On 4 June 2006, Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism Jagatguru Mahasannidhanam HDH Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam led a group of 200 yatris (people who embarking on yatra, a spiritual journey to experience superconscious breakthrough) to the very spot in Haridwar where Paramashiva took the form of an elderly sadhu and took care of HDH when He became severely ill. In around 1999, HDH was in Haridwar, staying on the banks of the river Ganga. At this time, He used to worship a Shiva Linga in this very place. In 2006 when HDH visited this place again, the linga was found installed permanently there.

One day, in the year 1999, HDH suddenly became very ill, experiencing high fever and unable to even move around. It came to the point that He thought He would not be able to live anymore. HDH described that He placed His head against the Shiva Linga and decided to rest there itself as He leaves the body.

Suddenly, a sadhu appeared before HDH with a divine effulgence. He was wearing a saffron robes which had a pocket and a pen in that pocket. The sadhu brought out a tiffin box and fed and cleaned HDH and gave Him some medicine. For the next few days he returned daily to feed and take care of HDH until He was better. Finally one day HDH asked what the name of this sadhu was. He laughed and said , "They call me Shankar Baba" . Then HDH asked where he was from and he told that he resides in the ashram nearby.

After HDH was better again, the sadhu stopped coming. HDH sought out the sadhu in order to thank him for his care. He went to the ashram and asked around for a Shankar Baba who was there but one knew who HDH was speaking about.

Finally when HDH asked the priest, he hurriedly said "The only Shankar Baba who is here is there. Go see!" The priest pointed to the deity of Shiva.

Upon seeing the deity, HDH was shocked to see the same diamond pen which Shankar Baba wore when he came to see him placed in the same space on the Shiva deity.

With immense gratitude and love, His Divine Holiness prostrated in front of the deity. This Leela of the Divine life of His divine Holiness teaches us that by having immense trust in the cosmos, the cosmos itself comes down to take care of you.

In Bhagavad Gita Chapter 9, verse 22 Krishna promises ananyāśh chintayanto māṁ ye janāḥ paryupāsate teṣhāṁ nityābhiyuktānāṁ yoga-kṣhemaṁ vahāmyaham

Translation There are those who always think of Me and engage in exclusive devotion to Me. To them, whose minds are always absorbed in Me, I provide what they lack and preserve what they already possess.

Just according to the promise made by Krishna, Paramashiva Himself comes down to protect His Divine Holiness when He needed.
