Technique

Pramana: Āpta Pramāṇa - आप्त प्रमाण

Apta Pramana Source: Haṭharatnāvalī 116-117

Original Verse: "विहाय नित्यां प्रथमां च धारां विहाय निःसारतयान्त्यधाराम् ॥ निषेव्यते शीतलम्ध्यधारां कापालिक्ऐः खण्डमत्ऐरनर्घ्याम् ॥ ११६ ॥

अमरीं यः पिबेन्नित्यं नस्यं कुर्याद् दिने दिने ॥ वज्रोलीमभ्यसेन्नित्यममरोलीति कथ्यते ॥ ११७ ॥"

Transliteration: "vihāya nityāṃ prathamāṃ ca dhārāṃ vihāya niḥsāratayāntyadhārām ll niṣevyate śītalamdhyadhārāṃ kāpālikaiḥ khaṇḍamatairanarghyām ll 116 ll

amarīṃ yaḥ pibennityaṃ nasyaṃ kuryād dine dine ll vajrolīmabhyasennityamamarolīti kathyate ll 117 ll"

Translation: "The first and the last flow, which is useless, should be avoided and the cool middle flow be consumed. Highly respected by the Khaṇḍa Kāpālikas. 116

While undergoing the course of Vajrolī, when one daily drinks and snuffs amarī (urine), it is called amarolī. 117"
