Ganesha Chathurti of 1989 is the earliest recorded public address and grand festival of the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism which was organized by SPH and the first volunteers and organizers of KAILASA. The event took place inside the Arunachaleshwara Temple in Tiruvannamalai on the fifth circumambulation path inside the temple, where traditional grand rituals were offered to the Ganesha consecrated underneath the banyan tree- which is the banyan tree from the same sapling as the one located in Adi Kailasa Nithyananda Peetham in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
To celebrate this momentous occasion alankharam was done by SPH Himself to Ganesha. The photograph is of the youth organizers of the occasion together, with SPH Himself standing next to the adorned deity of Ganesha.
