Shiva only began to speak the Shiva Sutras when there was only one person Devi relaxed into the causeless auspicious energy of Siva and it was only then Shiva delivered this great science. Swamiji tells us that in order to experience this sutra, we need to develop at least one honest relationship. Swamiji goes on to describe an incident from the life of Ramanuja where he answers a question from a seeker and tells him that if one cannot experience love they cannot experience God. Unless you have had atleast one relationship beyond your logical calculations, you cannot experience divine. Love can be used two ways one to turn the object and the other to turn to yourself.
