At left, a silver-decorated palanquin or ratha carries a seated figure in orange and saffron clothing under an ornate canopy, with garlands of yellow flowers along its frame. Several men in white shirts and dhotis, some wearing white caps, walk beside and behind it, and metal vessels with orange-topped offerings are carried at the front. A man at right holds up a large orange flag on a pole. Red and gold decorative panels hang from the palanquin and along the route, and a dense crowd of onlookers fills the foreground.2011-05-24April 18 20162016-04-18
