A photograph of a man in a sleeveless orange robe with a black-patterned shawl stands at a brass oil lamp (kuthuvilakku) lit with a flame, resting his hands near its base on a white-draped table. The lamp sits on a brass tray scattered with pink flower petals. He has long, dark, wavy hair and a white vibhuti mark on his forehead. Behind him a banner shows a black-and-white photograph of a large seated gathering of white-clad people, and a portrait of a smiling man with long hair is visible at left. To the left stands a man in glasses and a pale yellow shirt with an ID badge, and another man in white stands further back. A Tamil banner at upper right reads ஸ்ரீ ஜெயேந்திர and இலவச ஆ. Swamiji (probable): the man at the lamp has long swept-back hair, a saffron robe and a rudraksha-style shawl, so he is identified by these cues as a probable candidate for Swamiji.2008-08-03August 03 20082008-08-03August 03 20082008-08-03A smiling man with long swept-back black hair, a red vermilion mark on his forehead, saffron-orange draped robe over a bare shoulder, and a ceremonial gold bead mala around his neck stands at a microphone. He holds a tall brass oil lamp with lit flames and a white flower garland on top, while his other hand gestures toward a second lamp at the right edge. Behind him an orange banner with partial a person-related lettering and a large portrait on the left form the stage backdrop, beside a white cooler unit. a person in saffron robe and gold mala lighting an aarti lamp.2009-09-15A man with long, wavy black hair and a red bindi wears a saffron-orange sleeveless wrap and a long gold bead necklace, standing at a brass oil lamp with several lit wicks and white flower garland on top, lighting it with his hands. Behind him a banner reads partially in large letters 'Nithya' and 'YANA' and 'LAU' and 'OWERM', and a faded portrait of a smiling man with a bindi appears at left. Another person's hands and arm are visible at right, and a white cooler sits at lower right. Probable Swamiji cues: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ornate gold bead necklace, in the role of a presenter lighting an oil lamp. The image shows a lamp-lighting ritual at an indoor event.2009-09-15A photograph at a Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam event in Tiruvannamalai. A man with long dark hair, wearing a saffron-orange robe and a dark rudraksha mala, stands at center with his right hand extended open, facing a man in white on the left. A brass oil lamp with a tall stem sits on a white-draped table in front of a banner showing a moonlit hill and rows of white-clad people, with a portrait on the banner. A man in grey-haired profile stands at the right edge. The person in orange shows long swept-back hair and a rudraksha mala, a person by these cues. Two other people in view, one in white and one partly visible. A red-and-gold Rotary-style banner with Tamil text hangs at right.2008-08-03A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes and a dark rudraksha mala stands at left, with a vertical tilak on his forehead, beside another saffron-robed man with a tilak. A third man in a white shirt and dark trousers stands behind a table holding a paper. At right, a man in cream clothing lights a tall brass oil lamp with several flames, set on a brass tray of pink flower petals. The setting appears to be an indoor event with other people at the edges.2008-08-03December 25 20082008-12-25 +1 copiesA man with long, swept-back black hair and an orange saffron shawl holds a brass oil lamp with a bright flame in both hands, speaking as he performs an aarti. He wears a white and green flower garland and a red bindi on his forehead. Behind him, people in orange and white robes stand in a plain hall with fluorescent tube lights and a pillar. A cameraman with a raised camera is visible at right. A young man with long dark hair, wearing an orange robe and a black beaded mala, stands with hands gesturing beside a brass oil lamp (kuthu vilakku) on a white-draped table with red petals on its tray. A second man in an orange shirt and orange shawl adjusts the lamp. Behind them a banner shows a black-and-white portrait and a mountain at night, with a crowd in white garments; other banners read Nithya Dhyanam with yoga figures and Rotary Club of Tiruvannamalai. Probable Swamiji cues: long swept-back hair, orange robe and black beaded mala on the standing man, whose appearance is consistent with that candidate.2008-08-03A stage event under a white tent with a red backdrop.
