A seated figure in an orange sleeveless robe and orange dhoti sits on a white-draped raised seat with long, wavy dark hair, palms pressed together in prayer. Around him, a group of devotees sits on the floor in a home-like room with a wooden wall unit holding small deity figurines, framed pictures and books, and orange marigold garlands hang above the doorway. In front, a seated woman in a red and white saree and a man in a white shirt with a lanyard hold brass puja plates with oil lamps, pink flowers, kumkum and vibhuti. Other devotees in white and orange, including children, sit with hands folded in worship, and a woman in an orange saree sits at right with folded palms. The scene shows a padha pooja, a foot-worship ritual performed at a seated guru's feet, consistent with the page title.2010-02-18March 21 20062006-03-21A photograph inside a home shrine room during a pada pooja at a devotee's house. A man with long dark hair wears an orange robe and a beaded necklace, his hands folded in prayer as he sits on a red-cushioned seat near a gold-trimmed chair. Around him, seated devotees in white and red clothes fold their hands; a woman in a red sari, a young child in white, and others gather behind brass trays of offerings with lamps, flowers and kumkum. Behind them stands a dark wooden deity murti garlanded with white flowers, flanked by a Nataraja bronze and a brass pot. Framed artwork of an orange-robed figure hangs on the wall above, with wall hangings of green leaves.2010-01-09March 28 20062006-03-28April 28 20052005-04-28A domestic interior during a house-visit padapuja. A seated man with long hair in a bun, wearing a red-brown dhoti, orange shawl, a garland of white and yellow flowers and gold armlets, sits on an orange cushion at right, holding a silver staff topped with a ceremonial finial. Before him, a woman in orange and a man in a white striped shirt with a forehead mark hold a lit flame over a brass plate of flowers and rice. Devotees in saffron and red stand and kneel around the room, including a woman in a pink sari, a man in an orange robe, a boy in a white shirt and a man in orange holding a camera. A bowl of flowers rests on the floor. The scene is a photo of a puja inside a home.2014-07-08March 22 20062006-03-22A seated figure in an orange robe with long dark hair sits on an orange-draped chair with hands pressed together in namaskar, wearing a garland of yellow and white flowers. Devotees sit on the floor around him: a man in white kurta hands a silver tray to him, a woman in cream sari with yellow border sits nearby, and others in white and yellow saris and striped shirts fold their hands. A brass oil lamp with a flower stands at left, a tray of red fruit sits on an orange-draped table, and orange flowers decorate the right. The cream wall and green cabinet frame the scene.2010-01-262011 - Photo Album +1 copiesJuly 08 20142014-07-08July 22 20122012-07-22A photograph inside a satsang hall where a seated figure on an ornate gold-and-red throne wears saffron-orange robes, a long white flower garland and a sweeping dark hairstyle, with a tiger-striped cushion behind him. Seated devotees surround a round gold tray holding brass plates of flowers, fruit and offerings, while a woman in a red sari with a lanyard kneels nearby and a boy in white kneels with a rudraksha mala. Two women in orange shawls sit at the front, a man in a light kurta with hands folded in greeting sits at right, and an older man in an orange shawl sits in the background beside a red curtain and a white-clothed figure. Pandal decor and a wall fan complete the setting. Probable Swamiji candidate: the seated figure on the throne shows saffron robes, a white garland and long swept-back hair, so he is identified only by appearance cues. Puja with offerings and padapuja-style veneration appear to be taking place.2012-07-20
