An elderly woman with short grey hair sits on the ground in front of a collapsed thatched hut of dried palm fronds and split bamboo. She wears a pink and white striped cotton sari, a small gold earring, and gold bangles, and gazes off to the side. Behind her lie torn pink and lavender cloth, plastic bags, scattered bricks, and a fallen tree with bare branches. A woven striped bag hangs from a pole on the right, and a metal pot sits beside her. Palm trees stand in the hazy background.2012-01-04A photo of a damaged thatched house after a cyclone. The roof of palm-frond thatch and wooden rafters is torn open and partly collapsed, bound with rope to a bamboo frame. A man in a white dhoti and white vest stands in front of the ruin, holding up a white cloth. A white garment hangs on a line at right, and a coconut palm rises behind the house. Relief-work context is supported by the page, but no ritual or a person appearance is visible.2012-01-06January 03 20122012-01-03January 04 20122012-01-04January 04 20122012-01-04An elderly man with white hair and a white beard sits cross-legged on a bare floor, eating rice from a steel plate. He wears a white shirt and a blue-and-white checked lungi. Behind him are bamboo poles and a pink plastic chair, and another person's checked legs are visible at the left edge, consistent with an annadan meal setting.2012-10-15November 10 20062006-11-10A photograph inside a rough corrugated-metal shed with a dirt floor and rubble. A young man in an orange lungi and a red-and-white striped shirt sits on a concrete block, rinsing his hands from a blue bucket. Beside him stands a large green clay pot. On the right, an older man in a white shirt and brown lungi sits near a red machine, pouring water from a green container. A white sack lies on the ground and broken concrete slabs are scattered about. No deity, throne or ritual is visible.2013-06-26January 07 20122012-01-07Two men work outdoors on bare red earth in front of an orange-painted building with a maroon door and a corrugated metal wall. The man on the left, in a white shirt and maroon-and-red cloth, crouches with a torch or blowpipe over a small metal vessel set on red bricks, using a hose and gas fitting. The man on the right, in a white checked shirt and maroon cloth with yellow border, sits cross-legged beside him holding a tool and watching the work. A sack and a plastic water bottle sit nearby.2013-06-25October 02 20152015-10-02January 06 20122012-01-06
