A festival procession moves through a crowded street. At the centre, a tall decorated chariot (ratha) is covered in dense garlands of yellow, orange, red, white and purple flowers, with hanging flower strands at its corners. A figure seated on the platform wears an orange-and-red turban, a flower garland and a rudraksha-style necklace, and sits beside a carved animal figure. Around the chariot, many people in white dhotis with gold borders and some in saffron or orange cloth walk and carry items, while numerous colourful umbrellas in yellow, pink, blue and red shade the crowd, and red flags fly at the left.2018-01-09January 09 20182018-01-09A photograph of a festival procession with a large crowd behind red barricades and flags.
