Night procession of a richly flower-decorated ratha or palanquin with a canopy of red, white and yellow garlands and green leaves. Seated on a gilded throne-like seat under the canopy is a man with long dark hair, wearing a crown-style headdress, a saffron-orange shawl and ornate gold-toned adornments; his position suggests he is the honoured figure of the procession. Two attendants in white dhotis and bare-chested or white upper garments stand at the side, one holding a ceremonial staff or fan. A dense crowd of devotees lines both sides of the procession, many with pink and white clothing, and floodlights and string lights illuminate the scene against the dark sky. Pink and white lotus-like floral embellishments decorate the base of the chariot. The festival appears to be a temple-style chariot procession.
