It is a large flower-like pattern with a central red circle bordered in orange, enclosing an eight-pointed star in blue and yellow-orange. Five small brass oil lamps sit in the centre, with a small red and gold decorative element among them. Ringing the centre are petal shapes in pink, green and yellow, separated by white outlines.2014-09-02A photograph of a floor arrangement lit for a festival, centred on a tall polished brass oil lamp standing on a small base. Around it, a white kolam or rangoli design is drawn on a grey stone floor, scattered with yellow marigold petals. Many small clay oil lamps with lit flames, some red and some yellow-painted, encircle the lamp in a ring. A gilded ornate throne with carved lion-like feet stands at the left, and a silver tray lies beside the brass lamp. No people are visible in the frame.2017-10-18October 18 20172017-10-18Night aerial photograph of a large floral-shaped pattern formed by many small clay oil lamps glowing on a dark ground.
