A festival procession moves through a crowd of devotees, many in white dhotis and shirts, beneath a canopy of brightly coloured umbrellas in orange, pink, red, blue and green with fringed edges. Behind them rises an ornate golden processional structure with tiered domes and carved figures, carrying a seated deity murti under a small shrine arch, set among green trees and palms under a clear blue sky. The crowd is dense in the foreground, with some faces blurred and partly obscured.2016-12-23December 23 20162016-12-23 +1 copiesDecember 23 20162016-12-23January 09 20182018-01-09Outdoor procession on a bright day. A large golden ratha/palanquin carries a central figure seated under an orange canopy, decorated with marigold and multicolour garlands, golden bells, tassels and a golden lion-head finial. A multicoloured umbrella and round ceremonial fans flank it. Around the cart, men in white shirts with yellow or orange shawls and rudraksha malas walk, a woman in a red sari with a bindi stands in front, and a man in an orange robe with a long hair and mala extends his hand toward the cart. Banana leaves frame the scene.2010-01-01December 22 20102010-12-22December 29 20092009-12-29Outdoor procession under a bright sky with a dry, flat landscape behind. A gilded ratha/chariot with carved golden panels and ornate finials is shaded by a large multicoloured parasol with red, yellow, green and white fringed tassels, and a second decorated umbrella with a red border and geometric embroidery stands beside it. Several people in saffron/orange robes walk alongside, including a man in front holding a white flag and a man in the centre-right wearing orange. Devotees in white clothes stand to the left and right, and a child in a striped top is near the centre. Orange and white flags fly along the route, and a banner with red and white lettering is visible on the chariot side. Visible people number roughly fifteen to twenty.2006-12-14December 27 20092009-12-27December 05 20162016-12-05December 22 20102010-12-22Outdoor temple procession on a dusty ground under a bright sky.
