A large tented hall during an evening Rudra Abhishekam ritual. At the centre, a bare-chested priest in white dhoti stands behind a wooden platform holding a brass vessel, while other priests in white and saffron-clad attendants work around offerings. Brass plates of flowers, fruit and marigold garlands line the red floor, and decorated kalasha-style pots sit in the foreground. Seated devotees in white clothing fill the left side of the tent, and colourful hanging decorations and a banana plant frame the right. No figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance cues, so no candidate is recorded.2016-12-02December 18 20162016-12-18July 16 20152015-07-16A photograph of an evening homa at an indoor ritual space with a fire burning in a brick-lined fire pit. A priest in white dhoti with a green-and-gold sash and white body markings pours an offering from a ladle into the flames. Behind him, a seated figure in a red-orange robe and dark cap sits on a gold throne with hands folded in namaste. Standing devotees in white and maroon attire with rudraksha malas press palms together nearby, and a bearded man in white stands behind them. Brass lamps, a basket of flowers, banana leaves and a pot are arranged at the fire pit's edge, and a second priest in white stands at right with hands joined.2016-01-02A night-time homa fire ritual in an open pavilion with a red floor and a palm-leaf canopy. In the centre a wooden tiered platform holds a burning fire and offerings of flowers and fruit. Around it sit several priests: a bare-chested man in white dhoti on the left, a man with a pink headband in white dhoti beside him, a bare-chested man standing at the back, and a man in white dhoti with a bearded face on the right. A small child sits near the fire on the right. Behind, a shrine with a deity murti decorated with marigold garlands and multicoloured lights stands under a painted arch. A figure seated on a golden throne with a red cushion, wearing a white garland and red clothing, sits in front of the shrine; this is a seated figure with ceremonial adornment and a visible identity is not established. Banana plants flank the scene and brass vessels with flowers sit on the floor.2016-12-02April 14 20182018-04-14 +1 copiesSeptember 09 20132013-09-09A large seated congregation in white clothes and red-and-orange shawls fills the foreground of a temple hall during a ritual.
