A figure in an orange saffron cloth and a thick garland of yellow marigolds and dark red flowers stands at centre, receiving an offering from an older man in a white dhoti and shawl with an orange-bordered wrap and a beaded necklace. At left a bare-chested man in a white dhoti and a rudraksha-style necklace stands holding a dark bag. At right a person in an orange garment is partly visible. On the floor at lower centre is a steel tray of fruit including bananas, apples and mangoes. The setting suggests a puja or blessing ceremony.2008-04-01A photograph of a ritual setting in a plain room with a white-curtained window and a tiled floor. The seated figure's appearance and swept-back hair, turban, saffron clothing and ornate beads are consistent with Swamiji (probable), receiving the offering as the recipient. Behind him, a bald priest with yellow markings on his forehead and arms, wearing a saffron robe and a gold necklace, kneels beside a woman in white with a rudraksha mala and a man in a striped shirt stands in the background near brass oil lamps and a golden canopy structure.2015-10-10July 01 20142014-07-01
