Devotees wear white, blue and light-blue shirts, with white cap and red lanyards with ID badges. A woman on the left wears white robes, and a man in white sits at far left. Some people in the back stand. The scene feels like a teaching session or satsang.2006-01-08Dusk scene on an open paved area with tall trees at both sides and a hazy blue-grey sky. A group of about 30 people stands in loose clusters facing one direction. Many wear white kurtas or white clothing, and a few wear saffron-orange robes. A woman in a long orange robe stands prominently at left-center with her back partly turned, and a man in a yellow shirt stands near center. Others wear caps, jackets and jeans. No one clearly matches the a person candidate appearance cues, so the central figures are described by role and clothing only.2006-01-08January 08 20062006-01-08January 16 20162016-01-16A photograph of a crowd walking at sunset, backlit by a low, glowing sun behind dark silhouetted trees under a hazy orange sky. In the foreground, blurred people wearing white clothes and white headwear walk alongside others in saffron-orange saris and tunics. Several figures carry small items. No identifiable central figure is clearly visible; the scene is a blurred procession-like gathering at dusk.2016-01-16A photograph of a sandy riverbank at sunrise, with a hazy orange sky and sun near the horizon over calm water. A group of about twenty devotees in white clothes stand loosely in the sand, many wearing orange or rust-coloured shawls and scarves, and some with white hair. A woman in the centre wears white with a red-orange lanyard, and a woman at right in a red sari carries a basket of red flowers. Moored boats and distant shoreline appear in the background, and the group gazes toward the sun. No figure is clearly identifiable as a person.2015-10-27October 27 20152015-10-27Outdoor photograph of a large crowd gathered on a bare dusty ground under a pale evening sky with palm trees and a row of trees behind them. In the foreground at left, a long-haired figure in a flowing saffron-orange robe stands facing the crowd, seen from behind, with the sandals visible. The gathered devotees, mostly in white ritual clothes with some in pink, green, blue and red saris and kurtas, stand with palms pressed together in anjali. A man in white holds a camera near the middle of the group, and children stand among the adults at left. Lamp-like objects are not clearly visible on the ground. Consistent with a satsang gathering on the evening of Krishna Janmashtami, though only the saffron-robed figure's cues are visible; identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2010-09-02Outdoor group gathering at dusk on a paved open ground with trees and a low building at left. A person in orange robes sits cross-legged at the front, facing a large seated group of roughly thirty devotees in white kurtas, dupattas, saris and casual clothing, including a woman in a purple shawl and a man in a white cap. Water bottles and a black bag sit on the ground near the front. A possible a person candidate in an orange robe is seated at the front, but his appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm identity; the person is described by role as the teacher in orange robes addressing the group. Bare trees and parked buses fill the background under a pale sky.2006-01-08Outdoor photo at sunrise or sunset of a field with many people in white clothing seated on the ground beside small pits in the earth, with thin smoke rising from the pits. Sunlight flares over the scene. A large arched-roof hall with a row of small finials stands at left beside palm trees. In the foreground a woman in a white head covering and white garment sits on a low stool facing the fire pits. To the right, a standing man in white clothes and a long orange shawl, with a tall white headdress, faces the field, and several other seated people in white appear across the ground. This appears to be a fire ritual with pits set out in rows.2007-02-072004 - sacred collections uncategorised
