Inside a food serving area lit by red and warm string lights against a textured brick-style wall, a life-size figure of a seated man in a saffron turban and orange-red robe, wearing a yellow flower garland, sits on a raised platform. In front, two women serve food: one in a white apron and hairnet, another in an orange sari with black beaded necklace and hairnet, ladling from steel trays of rice and curry onto white plates on a long metal counter. The figure appears to be a statue or painted depiction rather than a living person.2022-04-16April 16 20222022-04-16April 16 20222022-04-16Night-time food distribution (annadan) under a striped canopy at an outdoor tent. Along the back, a saffron banner with a printed portrait and a yellow-and-orange emblem stands behind a table with flower garlands and a yellow decorative item. Several men sit near the banner; one in an orange turban and kurta sits left of centre, and another seated man in red and orange clothing is near the centre. A man in a white shirt stands at right. Several people in the foreground, including one in a red shirt and one in a white kurta, hold plates and serve or receive food at a long white-covered table. Most wear face masks. Electric lights illuminate the scene.2021-03-12 +1 copiesNight-time photo of a large open-air food distribution (annadan) beside a temple, under strings of multicoloured fairy lights and bright floodlights.
