Inside a temple hall with blue and pink columns and golden lamp stands, a shaved-headed monk in saffron robes with a rudraksha mala stands with hands folded, facing a golden throne. Behind the throne hangs a framed portrait of a smiling man wearing an orange turban and orange garment, labelled as a depiction. Statues of deities with multiple arms stand on either side, and seated devotees in saffron clothing are near the throne, with a kalasha and lamps around the space. The floor is polished white marble and a patterned carpet lies to the right.

A shaved-headed man in saffron robes, seen from behind, holds a multi-tiered brass aarti lamp lit with flames in the left foreground of a richly painted temple hall with pink, green and blue columns. Beyond, a gold-framed portrait of a bearded man in an orange turban and saffron robe sits atop an ornate gold throne. Two painted standing dvarapala figures with crowns, gold jewellery, green sashes and raised hands flank the doorway. Several seated figures in maroon-red robes sit in the inner shrine, and brass oil lamps stand along the right side on a polished marble floor. The scene suggests an aarti or puja offering before a throne.

In the foreground a shaved-headed priest in an orange wrap and rudraksha mala holds a lit oil lamp aloft toward the shrine. Three people in orange and maroon clothing sit on a red carpet with hands joined in prayer, and a bearded man in white dhoti with a white shawl also sits with hands folded. Brass lamps stand on both sides of the shrine. The portrait is a depiction of a person, not a physical presence in the scene; the seated devotees are the physical people counted here.
