He has long swept-back dark hair, earrings, and a vertical tilak with a red dot on his forehead, and he smiles gently with eyes lowered. He wears a rust-orange dhoti-style garment with broad gold-yellow borders wrapped around the waist and draped over one shoulder, and his upper body is bare. He has long, swept-back black hair, a gold hoop earring, a multi-strand rudraksha-style mala with gold beads at the neck, and a beaded armlet and wrist bracelets. A small red offering or flower lies near his feet and a stone-lined circular base surrounds the tree. The scene is outdoors among trees and red earth.2013-05-29A photograph of a bare-chested man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl standing barefoot on a small red-and-pink patterned mat, leaning his head against the trunk of a large banyan tree with aerial roots. He wears a rudraksha mala necklace, rudraksha bracelets on his arm and wrist, and a flower garland woven into his upturned hair. His eyes are closed and his posture is still and reverent. A pink flower garland hangs on the trunk to the left. Behind him are a white-walled raised platform, bare earth, stone blocks and an orange boundary wall in an open courtyard. The man is shown as a devotee in meditative stillness; no identity is asserted from appearance.2012-05-03June 27 20132013-06-27 +1 copiesA man in saffron-orange ascetic robes stands barefoot on a small red-and-blue patterned mat beside a large banyan tree, leaning his head against its hanging aerial roots with eyes closed. He wears a gold bead necklace with a shawl draped over his shoulder, has a white tilak across his forehead, and his hair is tied in a bun. Stone benches and bare ground surround the tree, with a flower arrangement visible at the right edge. The pose conveys quiet devotion and surrender. Appearance-based candidate: a person, with distinctive saffron robes, gold bead necklace and shawl as qualifying cues, standing alone in a sannyasi role.2013-03-02May 27 20132013-05-27April 06 20132013-04-06 +1 copiesMay 03 20122012-05-03A man in rust-orange and gold-bordered saffron-toned cloth leans his forehead against the trunk of a large banyan tree with exposed aerial roots. He wears a coral-orange beaded shawl over his shoulder, a long necklace of gold beads, and a gold armlet on his upper arm, with his eyes lowered. His long dark hair is swept back. Behind him are green trees, a tiled stone platform and white pillars in a sandy courtyard setting. Appearance cues include long swept-back hair, a saffron-orange shawl and gold ornaments, but the image shows no clear identifying detail beyond these.2013-05-19
