At left, a decorated wooden throne-like seat stands beneath red and green marigold garlands, with a light-coloured cloth draped over it. A man in white kurta and white dhoti bends forward at the seat, while another person lies prostrate on the floor in front of it, wearing a blue garment. Standing devotees include a woman in an orange sari with red-and-orange trim, a man in a striped shirt, a man in a white shirt, and an older bald man in white at right holding a folded cloth. A woman in teal stands at the far right edge. Bright light glows from the back wall, and a brass plate sits near the base of the seat.June 18 20102010-06-18Night photograph of an open courtyard at a whitewashed building with an open doorway lit from inside. A man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl walks barefoot across the concrete floor toward a stone shrine-altar on the right, where a small pot and lit lamp sit. Around him, people in white clothes with orange shawls stand near the doorway and along the wall. A camera operator in white with an orange shawl films from the right edge. Brass oil lamps and ritual vessels are arranged on a striped cloth at the left. Whether the saffron-clad man is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance here, so the role is given as a devotee in saffron.2008-01-03A photograph of a crowded covered hall with a metal-framed corrugated roof and orange wall lamps. Many men in white dhotis and white shirts stand close together, several wearing lanyard badges and rudraksha-style beaded necklaces. A man at left presses his palms together in anjali. A tall decorated pole in red, green and white with painted birds and flowers stands at center, and a hanging lamp fixture hangs overhead. Women in white saris stand in the background at left. Some people are partially visible at the frame edges.2007-12-17July 07 20102010-07-07A photograph inside a hall with a white ceiling, ceiling fans and decorative colourful hanging panels. A line of men in white dhotis and white shirts, several wearing yellow shawls, stands on a light floor facing a raised white platform draped with a cloth. On the platform stands a bald man in an orange robe with a red shawl, gesturing with his hand, beside a woman in an orange saree. Behind the platform hangs a red velvet curtain, and an orange-cloth-covered seat is visible. A woman in white stands in the foreground, and several other people are visible in the background.2010-07-07July 09 20102010-07-09Night photograph of a covered temple-style courtyard with a carved stone pillar and pillared stone platform on the left, holding brass vessels and offerings. Many people in white dhotis and white kurtas or shirts stand and walk across the floor, with a few in orange or saffron garments and one figure with a black camera bag. Overhead tube lights, a corrugated roof and painted pillars with red, white and blue patterns frame the scene; framed pictures hang on the back wall. A man in a white shirt in the foreground faces away from the camera. Visible people number roughly 21-100, with some saffron-clad figures near the center; no individual is clearly identifiable as a person.2007-12-17Interior of a temple hall with a large crowd of devotees standing in rows, many women in colourful saris (pink, teal, yellow, lavender) and men in white shirts and trousers, watching a ritual.
