A painting on a dark black canvas or sheet placed on a table covered with newspaper. The painted face is dark and smeared, with glaring red eyes, a wide grinning mouth with red and white teeth, and the word FEAR painted in red letters across the top. No people are visible in the scene. Pieces of newspaper and a pencil lie at the edges of the table.
