May 30 20132013-05-30A photograph of a temple shrine with painted blue walls and ornate gold trim. At centre a golden throne with a tiger-skin cushion holds a framed portrait of a seated figure in orange robes and a beaded necklace, with a gold umbrella canopy above. Two painted deity statues in red and green garments flank the shrine. In the foreground a bare-shouldered priest with a saffron cloth over his shoulder holds a lit lamp toward the shrine. Brass lamps stand on either side. The scene is a puja in progress. No a person candidate is clearly in person; the framed portrait is a depiction, though the figure's appearance is not clearly distinctive enough to confirm identity.2013-06-13Inside a temple shrine, an empty golden ornate throne with a tiger-skin seat stands in a central niche, with a framed photograph on its back showing a smiling figure in orange robes and rudraksha beads seated in a rocky setting, labelled as a depiction on the frame. Two painted guardian figures with gold crowns, green sashes and red dhotis flank the niche. In the foreground, two seated priests in white dhotis and vibhuti marks perform a puja, one holding a microphone, while a brass lamp and oil lamps line the floor and a standing figure's arm holds a lamp at the left edge. The photograph is a depiction, not a physical person, and no physical person is clearly identifiable as a person.2013-05-31September 27 20132013-09-27September 22 20132013-09-22July 10 20142014-07-10A photograph inside a temple shrine decorated with painted colourful pillars and two tall painted dvarapala guardian figures with four arms, orange-red dhoti and green sashes. In the centre, a framed portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" shows a smiling man in an orange turban and saffron robes, displayed on a gold throne with a tiger-skin cloth. Below it, several people in saffron and maroon robes sit in front of the throne; one figure in orange raises both arms in front of the altar. In the foreground, a priest in a pink-maroon wrap seen from behind holds a ritual tray beside a brass lamp with lit flames. Brass lamps and bells hang near the doorway.2013-10-31 +1 copiesA temple shrine interior with painted orange and green walls and two large orange-skinned guardian figures with green sashes flanking the doorway. In the foreground, a tiered brass lamp with multiple lit oil flames is held up by a hand. Centered in the shrine is a framed portrait of a smiling man wearing an orange turban and orange robe, set on a gilded throne-like seat draped with a tiger-skin cloth. Umbrellas and hanging bells decorate the inner sanctum, and a few people in orange and saffron clothing sit near the throne in the lower centre, some with phones raised.2013-08-03September 26 20132013-09-26A shrine room with painted pink, green and blue columns frames a gold throne draped with a tiger skin. On the throne sits a framed portrait of a smiling man in an orange turban and orange robe, a printed image rather than a living person. Two painted standing deity murtis flank the throne, one on each side, each with multiple arms and gold ornaments. In the foreground, a bald priest with a rudraksha mala and orange cloth stands at left, holding a tiered brass lamp stand with many flames. Seated devotees in orange garments sit near the throne, and oil lamps line both sides of the shrine floor. This is a puja or aarti at the shrine.2013-07-20September 22 20132013-09-22April 08 20142014-04-08
