A white-clad devotee kneels and bows with forehead to a silver-and-gold footstool heaped with yellow and orange marigolds. To the right, a kneeling man in white with an orange shawl holds a small brass bowl. Behind them, a standing woman in a cream sari with brown paisley motifs stands near a gold-foil backdrop with framed dark pictures and garlands on stands. Red carpet and white cloth cover the floor. A figure in orange robes with long dark wavy hair, a long beaded necklace of gold-coloured beads and an orange shawl sits on a raised orange-draped seat, smiling and holding flower petals. A man in white clothes bends forward to touch the seated figure's bare feet, which rest on a pink-and-gold cloth and marigold garlands. Behind them, several men in white kurtas wear marigold garlands and orange shawls, with hands folded in greeting, and a woman in a yellow sari stands nearby. A brass bowl of petals and lemons sits on a wooden stand at left, with brass lamps and a shrine behind.2010-07-24
