May 17 20112011-05-17Night outdoor satsang under a white tent with string lights. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron garment and a multicoloured flower garland, sits on an ornate gold-and-cream throne decorated with flowers and a tiger-skin cover. Probable Swamiji cues: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and garland, seated on the throne. Nearby, a woman in white with folded hands sits, and a man in white kneels before him; a woman in a red blouse and white sari, plus a bald monk in orange robes, sit close by. A woman in a light blouse offers items on a brass plate, and a white portable fan and a van sit in the background among onlookers.2012-07-03May 17 20112011-05-17May 17 20112011-05-17May 16 20132013-05-16July 03 20122012-07-03A photograph at a night satsang event. A man with long swept-back dark hair and a red bindi sits on an ornate gold throne with carved lion-head arms, draped in orange saffron robes, a red and yellow marigold garland around his neck, and a dark rudraksha-style mala near his waist. Swamiji (probable) is the presiding teacher: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ceremonial garlands. Seated before him on the floor, a young woman in an orange sari presses her palms together in namaskar, another woman in a red sari and a woman in a green sari do the same, and a young woman in a white top watches. A foreground woman with blonde hair leans forward holding a plate of rice and flowers, possibly offering padapuja. A white tower cooler, a gold-and-red floral canopy and string lights frame the scene, with more people in the dark background.2012-07-03Night-time outdoor satsang under a open tent. A man seated on an ornate gilded golden throne with a tiger-striped cushion wears an orange-saffron robe and a garland of red flowers and green beads, with long swept-back hair; the appearance is consistent with the Swamiji (probable) candidate, seated in a position of honour and speaking to the gathering. Beside the throne a woman in an orange sari sits on the ground before a gold plate of offerings with a small lamp. Further along, a man in a cream shirt and white dhoti, an elderly woman in a green sari, and an older woman in a white sari sit facing the dais. A standing fan and string lights are behind; several people in white clothing move in the background.2012-07-03May 16 20132013-05-16May 16 20132013-05-16May 16 20132013-05-16Night-time outdoor photo of a satsang or puja on a raised red-carpeted platform. A long-haired figure in orange-saffron robes and a multicolour flower and bead garland sits on an ornate gold throne with tiger-striped cushions, hands resting on the armrest. In front, a gold padapuja-style low table holds flower offerings and fruit. Seated devotees in white clothing, one woman in a red sari with a garland, and monks in saffron-orange robes sit around the platform with hands in anjali; one man holds a brass plate. A tripod camera and laptop sit at the right edge. Behind them a white air cooler, string lights, and a bus and crowd of people in white and orange are visible in the dark background.2012-07-03
