Two bare-chested men in white dhotis perform a ritual abhishekam at a shrine. The man on the right pours liquid from a brass vessel onto a small brass murti of a deity standing on a wooden stand at the right. The man on the left, wearing a face mask and a rudraksha-style mala, stands beside him with hands together. Before them on an orange cloth are brass plates and bowls holding bananas, oranges, limes, pink flower petals and a brass lamp. Behind them, standing statues of deities in bright saffron, gold and pink garments stand against a golden-framed arch and a beige wall.2021-09-28KAILASA SINGAPORE on 8/13/20212021-08-13Photo 82847982022-05-08 +1 copiesKAILASA TORONTO, CANADA on 4/23/20222022-04-23A photograph of a temple puja at an altar with a black Ganesha deity murti dressed in a purple and green cloth, adorned with orange marigold garlands and a red-and-gold turban-like crown. In front are brass bowls of yellow rice, a green cucumber, an orange, a pomegranate, banana leaves and a brass plate of offerings, with a second lit lamp on the altar. The setting is a dark tiled wall with ornate gold-framed arches.2022-02-23KAILASA SINGAPORE on 10/18/20212021-10-18KAILASA TORONTO, CANADA on 3/11/20212021-03-11Photograph of a temple ritual indoors. A shaved-headed man in a white dhoti with gold borders, bare-chested with white ash markings and rudraksha malas, kneels and holds a brass lamp with a lit flame, wearing a blue surgical mask. Behind him a second man in a white dhoti with gold waistband stands with palms joined in namaskar, also masked and with white markings on his chest. Gold-finished deity statues stand behind them, a dark bronze figure is at left, and small gold figures with a gold pyramid-shaped stand, petals and brass bowls sit in the foreground beside a large dark stone basin. The page does not indicate a person's presence, and no candidate is identifiable, so the setting reads as a priest performing a lamp offering.2020-07-04KAILASA TORONTO, CANADA on 5/29/20222022-05-29 +1 copiesIndoor temple puja in a shrine room with gold-arched niches and yellow curtains. Four people are visible: a woman in a white sari with a gold border reads from an open book on the left; an older woman in white with a red shawl holds a metal plate; a bare-chested man in a white dhoti performs the ritual at a central altar; and a bare-chested man in a white dhoti and mask holds a garland of lemons and marigolds over a decorated deity murti. Behind them stand carved deity statues, and the altar table holds brass plates, bowls of rice and vegetable curry, mangoes, pomegranate, flower petals, and a ring of green limes around a blue-draped murti.2022-04-23Photo 99168932022-05-29 +1 copiesKAILASA HOUSTON USA On February 15, 20262026-02-14 +1 copies
