A photograph of a seated figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange head turban, hands pressed together in namaste, on a decorated ceremonial throne with carved wooden lions' feet. Long garlands of white jasmine, yellow marigold and red flowers hang from the shoulders and neck. Before the throne is a silver peetha or pedestal holding red and yellow flowers, with a ceremonial sword and a staff beside the seat. Behind, a second attendant in orange robes and white dhoti stands near a red and gold ceremonial umbrella, with bananas and brass vessels in the foreground. The setting resembles a puja or Guru Purnima ceremony, with floral decorations on the throne and a dark backdrop.2004-07-02A seated figure in orange and saffron robes sits on an ornate wooden throne with carved lion-footed legs, a tall canopy and feathered fans, framed by red and white garlands. The figure wears an orange turban, a multi-coloured flower garland and a red-and-orange sash, and sits above a silver pot surrounded by marigold and flower offerings on the floor. A trident stands to the left and a decorated umbrella-like standard to the right. Two attendants in white dhotis stand at the edges, one in an orange shawl. A microphone, a small audio player and a draped table with marigolds complete the ceremonial setting of a pooja or sanyas dheeksha event.2004-07-02A seated man in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban sits on a golden throne decorated with a multicoloured floral garland backdrop, a white flower garland draped around his neck, and gold bangles on his wrists. Silver and brass oil lamps stand around the throne against a dark backdrop with string lights. In front of him a gold tray holds brass plates of offerings, some with red fruit or sweets, and devotees sit and kneel nearby, including a woman in a blue top with hands pressed together and a man in a white shirt with an ID lanyard. This appears to be a pratyaksha pada puja setting with lamps and offerings.2011-12-11A young man in an orange-red silk robe and matching turban stands on a white cushioned mat in front of an ornate carved wooden throne with a white upholstered back, pressing his palms together in anjali. He wears a multicoloured woven garland with pompoms and rudraksha beads at his chest. Behind him, a man in white kurta with a name badge stands near the throne, and to the right several men in white and in a green shirt stand with hands folded or clasped, watching. A brass tray and bowls with flower petals sit on the red carpet in the foreground, and a white floral garland drapes over the throne arm. A backdrop with a blue-and-white logo is visible behind. Whether the orange-robed figure is a person is uncertain from appearance alone.2003-01-01December 30 20062006-12-30A ceremonial puja scene in a gold-decorated shrine hall with a red carpet strewn with flower petals. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala sits on a dark red throne framed by a gold arch hung with garlands. Devotees in white clothes kneel with folded hands, one young woman in white with a mala and a seated man in white at left. A seated man in saffron robes and an orange turban, wearing a multicolour flower garland, smiles while a person in dark clothing with a colourful sash bows and touches his feet. Around them, men in white shirts and saffron shawls, some wearing rudraksha malas, stand or kneel, and women in white and pink flower garlands watch. Pink and white flower garlands are visible in the foreground. Ceremonial padapuja appears to be taking place. The seated figure's clothing and turban are distinctive, and the page indicates the event involves a person, so this is a person appearance in person, though the face is not visible to confirm.2007-01-122004 - First Sannyas Deeksha At AdiKailaasa2004-07-02December 30 20062006-12-30A photograph inside a tin-roofed hall shows a seated figure on an ornate gilded throne draped with white, yellow and red marigold garlands, topped by a canopy of white flowers.
