Silhouetted against a pale sunlit sky, a hanging banana bud with its dark purple-red petals hangs from a strand of green garlands at the top of the frame, the low sun glowing directly beneath it. On the right, broad green banana leaves frame the view. In the foreground, a few small figures stand in a dusty open ground, including a man in a white shirt on the left; a row of parked vehicles and distant palm trees and low buildings lie along the horizon.2016-01-03May 17 20132013-05-17Wide outdoor photo at sunset of a large seated gathering on open grass facing a raised stage with a white canopy and stage lights. Many devotees in white, red, orange and dark clothing sit on yellow mats in rows, while a few standing figures are near the stage edges. A large sun sits low on the horizon behind the stage, with silhouetted palm trees and a kite in the sky at upper left. The stage area holds a seated presenter in the centre, though faces are too small and dark to make out clearly.2011-12-08September 28 20142014-09-28February 02 20072007-02-02 +1 copiesSeptember 28 20142014-09-28February 13 20072007-02-13 +1 copiesOutdoor procession scene under a clear pale sky. Dense crowds of devotees in white and cream clothing, with some in yellow shawls and saffron tones, fill the foreground and middle ground. Tall banana plant stalks with large green leaves line the path. Behind them stands an ornate festival chariot (ratha) decorated with garlands, gold-coloured trim and a large orange and pink canopy umbrella, with figures on its platform. Several people raise hands in greeting near a red-and-gold flag and a pole with banners. Utility poles and sparse trees sit in the background. No single identifiable figure is clearly visible on the chariot.2010-01-01April 22 20162016-04-22April 14 20132013-04-14March 31 20132013-03-31Outdoor photograph of a festival ground lined with tall coconut palms and banana plants decorated with orange and saffron flags and streamers.
