A tall cylindrical ritual pillar, ringed with metal bands and topped with a small finial, rises against a bright sky with palm fronds at right. A figure with a shaved head and a saffron-orange garment stands at the base, holding a brass plate or bowl up to the pillar. Another figure in orange clothing and a marigold garland stands beside it. An orange flag hangs from a rope tied to the pillar, with a yellow flower garland along its edge and a green leaf bundle tied near the top. The scene resembles a flag-hoisting or ritual dhwajarohana-style rite in an open-air courtyard under a corrugated roof.2013-04-14August 20 20142014-08-20April 14 20132013-04-14August 20 20142014-08-20 +1 copiesApril 14 20132013-04-14A tall copper ceremonial pole rises diagonally against a pale sky, with a tuft of green leaves and grass near its base and rings of metal banding along its length. A thin rope runs from the pole's top down to a bare arm reaching up from the right edge, where a person in an orange-red garment with gold-toned ornamental trim holds it. A corrugated metal roof edge is visible at the left. The scene suggests a ritual raising of a ceremonial pole; no clear deity form or name is visible.2014-08-20 +1 copiesPhotograph looking up at a tall, spiralling reddish-brown wooden column topped with an ornate capital, wrapped with marigold garlands and bundled green grass at its base. A small figure in a red garment stands at the foot of the column beside a red and gold umbrella, under a bright sky framed by palm fronds and a metal-roofed open shelter. The column appears to be a ritual pole or dhwajasthambha at an ashram setting.2016-03-01 +1 copiesLow-angle photo looking up at a tall tapering wooden pole wrapped in white cloth, topped with a dark ornament, rising against a bright sunlit blue sky with a lens flare.
