Evening puja in a temple shrine. Three men in saffron-orange robes stand at left: one holds a brass aarti plate with a lit flame, another in white dhoti and shawl stands beside him, and a third with a rudraksha mala and folded hands watches. A fourth man, bare-chested with a saffron cloth over his shoulder and a red garland, offers worship at the altar. Before them sit richly decorated deity murti figures with gold crowns, garlands and jewelled necklaces, one in teal and gold attire holding a staff. Brass oil lamps and kalasha-style vessels surround the altar, with flower petals scattered on the floor.2012-04-24Inside a temple shrine, a bald priest in a rust-orange dhoti and shawl, with a gold-trimmed cloth and a flower garland, holds a flame toward a deity pair decorated with red and white garlands; the central pair features a figure in a red and orange turban and a figure in a green and gold sari-like garment with a crown. Two attendants in saffron-orange robes stand nearby: one holds a brass tray with a large brass lamp, the other has hands folded in namaskar. Gold-coloured brass lamps, a kalasha-like brass bowl and a golden arched frame surround the altar, with a small white-clad figure with a green cloth at the base, and a copyright credit overlays the lower right corner.2012-04-24April 24 20122012-04-24A photograph inside a temple shrine at night.
