Photo from behind inside a temple doorway. A bald man in an orange saffron robe stands with palms pressed together in prayer, facing a shrine. Beside him a woman with dark hair in a low bun wears a red sari with gold border. A brass bell hangs from the doorframe with red and orange cloth ties. Inside, a black Shiva linga sits on a marble-floored platform with a brass lamp and a deity image on the wall behind. A photographer with a camera stands at the left edge. Two people are visible in the scene.

A very dark, dimly lit arched shrine interior. At the centre stands a framed deity image and a small altar with a hanging lamp and a brass or oil lamp glowing faintly. In the foreground, two people in silhouette are partly visible: one at left in reddish-orange clothing and one at right in dark clothing with a yellowish wrap. The lower-right corner carries a faint copyright overlay, which is not transcribed.

Photograph inside a dim stone temple passage where several people in orange and saffron robes stand in a line facing a shrine. A central figure in a rust-orange sari with long dark hair stands closest to the camera, with a bald-headed man in orange beside her and another bald man in orange on the right, all facing a red-clad deity murti lit by a small oil lamp at the far end. Brass bells hang on the carved wooden doorframes, and a red cloth hangs from the ceiling at the top left.

Photograph inside a dim stone shrine doorway framed by carved wooden door panels with brass hooks and lamps. Several shaven-headed priests in saffron-orange shawls stand with their backs to the camera, facing a deity murti and a glowing circular lamp or aura behind it. One priest in the foreground holds a small silver vessel in his right hand. A figure in white dhoti and shawl stands among them. Brass bells hang on the doorframe. The scene suggests a puja or aarti at a temple sanctum, with the priests' faces hidden from view.

A photograph inside a small red-railed shrine chamber with a white marble altar and a framed painting above it. A bearded man in saffron-orange robes and a red cap leans over the altar, reaching toward a deity murti. Beside him, a person in red-brown robes with a gold border and flowers in the hair bends forward toward the altar. Garlands and flowers are visible near the altar.

A woman in a maroon sari with a green and yellow garland and gold bangles holds a brass aarti plate with a lit oil flame and red and white offerings toward a deity murti inside a small stone shrine lit from above. A man with bare head and glasses wears an orange robe and stands with palms joined in prayer beside her. A hanging brass oil lamp and chain hang at the right edge, and the murti is decorated with flower garlands.

A photograph inside a dim stone temple shrine at Kanjanoor Agniswarar Temple. Two people in saffron-orange robes face the sanctum, a bare-shouldered figure at left in the foreground and a second figure in an orange sari with a gold border and rudraksha-style beaded necklaces holding a lit lamp toward a dark lingam-like deity murti. A large brass lamp with flames glows in the doorway, with more oil lamps and brass vessels on a ledge at right. Incense smoke drifts in the air. No individual can be clearly identified as a person from appearance.

A photograph inside a small shrine room with a red-painted wooden niche and a marble-framed shrine holding a silver-toned murti and offerings. A lit oil lamp sits on the marble ledge beside a silver cobra-shaped object, and a black shivalinga-like object is decorated with orange marigold garlands. Three men stand before it: on the left a man with long dark hair and an orange kurta with an orange shawl, in the centre a man with a rust-red turban and a gold-and-orange beaded necklace seen from behind, and on the right a bald man in wire-rimmed glasses, orange-and-cream robes and a beaded rudraksha-style necklace. A framed picture hangs on the wall at upper right and a sign above the shrine reads a Hindi name.

Interior of a dim temple passage at night, with lit oil lamps lining the walkway toward an illuminated deity murti at the far end. A bald man in saffron-orange robes and bangles, carrying a folded red and gold cloth, walks ahead of a woman in a red sari with a flower garland. An older man with grey hair and a white cloth over his shoulders stands at right, facing the shrine, with a rudraksha-style mala visible. A dark-haired person's head is visible in the lower right corner.

A photograph taken at a doorway of a shrine room, looking in toward a small altar with a pink draped canopy, framed deity pictures, brass lamps on the walls and a ceiling fan. In the foreground a person with long dark hair, seen from behind, wears an orange-saffron garment with a gold-bordered edge. On the right a man in white ritual clothes with an orange-red shawl and a rudraksha mala stands in the doorway. A third person in white is seated below the altar. Dangling green and red garlands hang over the carved wooden doorframe.
