Two women in the centre front have hands pressed together in prayer. At the right foreground, a man in an orange robe with long dark hair sits on a wooden chair with a rudraksha-like adornment visible, appearing to observe the ritual; he matches the a person appearance cues only partially, so he is described as a seated sannyasi. A woman in a red sari stands at the back left beside a robed figure, and tall saffron flag poles rise among the participants. Spectators stand along the back wall under a tiled roof, and a pile of straw or hay is visible beyond the structure.2006-10-21A photograph of a large hall during a Maheshwara Puja-style food offering, with a seated figure on an ornate golden throne at the far end wearing a red and gold garment.
