A woman in a pink and cream floral sari stands bent over a clay pot on a small raised stone base on a bare concrete floor, pouring milk from a steel vessel into the pot. Beside her are a small terracotta plate, a steel tumbler, and a steel container, with a kolam of white rangoli swirls and yellow turmeric powder on the floor. Wood logs burn in a small fire in front of the base, and an open window with grille bars lights the plain white wall. This appears to be a Gaumatha or Gau seva style milk offering, with milk poured into the pot over the flames.2022-06-19A woman in a white and navy patterned sari with a navy shawl stirs a pot of milk on a wood-fired clay stove on a bare tiled floor, consistent with a Gaumatha puja and Go seva preparation. Dry sticks burn beneath a clay pot, a small brass vessel sits at left, and a red clay bowl lies near the fire. Faint white kolam lines decorate the floor and a barred window lets in daylight.2022-06-19January 15 20242024-01-15Jan 15 2023 sripuram2023-01-15A woman in a magenta and green silk sari with gold-bordered blouse pours milk from a brass vessel into a clay pot of boiling pongal on an orange-painted clay stove in an open courtyard. The pot is garlanded with yellow and pink flowers, and bamboo poles are tied overhead above the stove. Rose petals and colourful rangoli lines decorate the ground, with a red wall and green gate behind. He stirs a large aluminium pot filled with cooked white rice or pulao, his right arm reaching into the pot with a spoon. A red thread is tied on his wrist. Behind him are a copper vessel, jars of spices and a metal shelf, and another pot sits at the right edge, consistent with preparing food for an annadaan meal.2022-04-03
