December 12 20162016-12-12A crowded temple hall with a corrugated metal roof and hanging brass oil lamps. Devotees in saris, salwar kameez and white clothes stand and walk among large terracotta clay lamps on the floor. A colourful red, green and yellow canopy with tassels stands at right above a ceremonial area with brass vessels and a pot. Several people in white and pale clothing move through the space. The image is a photograph of a Karthigai Deepam lamp-lighting setting, with clay lamps and oil lamps visible; the page references a person event but no appearance-based cues identify him in the scene.2016-12-12A busy indoor market-like hall with a tiled floor and corrugated roof, hung with coloured paper lanterns. Many people stand and walk among tables and stacked brass and copper vessels: large brass pots with lids, copper water containers, and stacked metal bowls. Several women in saris and salwar kameez, and men in shirts and dhotis, browse or talk. Folded multicoloured cloths in orange, yellow, red and blue lie in front, with a row of statues and objects along the back wall. The scene suggests preparation for a festival rather than a ritual itself.2016-12-12December 12 20162016-12-12December 12 20162016-12-12A large covered workshop hall with a corrugated metal roof and fluorescent lights, filled with brass deity murti and ceremonial metal figures on wooden and red bases. Several men in traditional dress walk across a brick-paved floor; one in front wears a rust-orange dhoti with a rudraksha mala, another in a blue shirt and white dhoti stands nearby, and a figure in an orange saffron wrap stands on the right near a row of statues. A green wooden palanquin-style frame and a large ornate golden figure appear on the left. Workers appear to be inspecting or handling the metalwork.2014-10-12April 24 20192019-04-24December 12 20162016-12-12December 12 20162016-12-12 +1 copiesFebruary 01 20152015-02-01A covered storage and preparation hall with a corrugated metal roof and concrete floor. Orange cloth hangs from metal shelving on the left, and an orange-draped chair with a gold-trimmed footstool stands near the left wall. In the centre, a man in an orange robe walks forward while several people in orange and white clothing stand nearby. A few other people in white shirts and dhotis are visible further back. On the right, colourful ceremonial fabrics, orange cloths, a round wooden frame and a tall ceremonial staff are arranged along a shelf and wall. Rolled colourful mats lie on the floor at the lower left.2009-12-29February 01 20152015-02-01
