The table, covered in a gold and teal brocade cloth, displays green-leaved pots, coconuts and brass vessels, with a silver lamp stand on the ground. He wears a long rudraksha mala and a gold necklace with bare shoulders. Behind him, a few seated devotees in light clothing sit near white tables and tree trunks on a lit lawn, one with hands folded in prayer. The scene suggests a homa or puja ritual.2013-12-20Night outdoor homa on grass: a seated priest in orange-red robes, orange turban, rudraksha mala and gold necklaces, marks painted on his arms, feeds offerings into a fire built inside a stacked yellow brick fire pit. Behind him, a purple-draped table holds a kalasha-style pot with flower garlands, marigolds and green-and-orange coconut-decorated vessels. A tray of banana-like fruit and a basket of dried sticks sit nearby.2015-11-18December 20 20132013-12-20A photograph of a priest in orange-saffron dhoti and a matching orange turban seated on the ground at an outdoor fire ritual. He holds an open book in one hand and gestures with the other hand over a small fire burning on a stone-edged pit. Silver bowls, a metal plate of grains, a fruit and flower offering, and small brass pots sit nearby. Behind him a decorated altar is draped in blue cloth and garlanded with yellow marigold strands, with red and gold fabric visible above. A man in a maroon-red dhoti with gold-bordered shawl, orange-red turban, layered gold and beaded necklaces and an earpiece microphone stands at a table draped in teal and gold brocade. He holds a small silver bell in one hand and a lit incense stick in the other, raising the incense over several potted offerings wrapped in yellow and maroon cloth with green leaves, beside a silver pot. The setting is dark with lamps and a tree trunk behind. Whether this man is the presenter cannot be confirmed from appearance, so the role is given as priest performing a puja.2013-12-20
