October 05 20132013-10-05Indoor workshop or storage hall with a concrete floor and high ceiling lights. In the foreground a large bronze deity murti lies on a pair of stacked concrete blocks, its head toward the left. Behind it stands a man in a rust-brown dhoti with gold border and a matching shawl, and to the right an older bearded man in saffron-orange robes holds a metal rod while several men in brown and maroon robes stand nearby. To the left are a bronze chariot wheel, a gilded stand, a small bronze figure and a silver-toned pedestal. Concrete walls and stacked stones fill the background.2013-11-05A long-haired man in a saffron-orange robe stands among large brass or bronze temple sculptures under a white tarpaulin canopy. He is looking down at the metal figures, with one hand resting near a gilded piece. In the foreground are the heads of two large gilded deity figures with tall ornate crowns, carved detailing and decorated necks. Several onlookers, including children and a man in a red head cloth, stand behind him beside a rough outdoor work area with bricks and timber. Palm trees and a thatched shelter are visible in the background. Appears to be a site inspection of temple sculptures; possibly a person (long hair, saffron robe) present in person.2006-09-18A photograph inside a workshop hall with a whitewashed wall and wire-mesh windows, where bronze and metal deity murti sculptures are displayed on wooden stands. Two people stand at right: one with a shaved head and bare back wearing an orange shawl and holding a long staff with a red flower, and another with long dark hair wearing a maroon and orange-striped cloth. Behind them are more metal sculptures, tools, a metal arch and wooden tables, with a dark patch of metal scrap in the foreground. The shaved-head figure and the figure with long hair are presented as a priest and a sannyasi; no identifiable appearance cues confirm a person.2014-10-12A photograph in a large warehouse-like hall with a tiled floor and high windows. In the foreground a man in a maroon robe with broad gold-yellow borders wears a long gold bead necklace and a tilak on his forehead, holding a small object in one hand and gesturing as he speaks. Behind him a second man in a matching maroon and gold-bordered robe walks barefoot past rows of white metal barrier posts. The hall is filled with golden and bronze deity murti statues, wooden tables and crates. Several people in white clothes stand in the background near the walls.2014-08-24A photograph at an outdoor ashram construction site showing a figure in a long orange saffron robe walking between large polished bronze-gold statues of standing female figures. The statues wear draped saris in white, green with pink, and blue, and are mounted on ornate pedestals; one holds a lotus-like element. Behind them are metal scaffolding, a corrugated roof, a low cinder-block wall, bamboo poles and palm trees. The walking figure has long dark wavy hair and is the only living person clearly visible, with another person partly visible in the background. The statues and scaffolding suggest a temple-grounds setting.2006-12-22A man in a rust-red shawl and a rudraksha mala stands at right, holding a small brass bowl with a lit flame, beside a wooden palanquin or swing frame holding small gilded deity figures. Behind him stand larger gilded deity murtis, including a standing figure with a trident and a seated bronze figure, several adorned with gold garlands and jewellery, on red wooden stands over a striped red cloth scattered with petals. The scene appears to be a workshop or temple store hall with a grated ceiling and a white wall.2014-08-06October 07 20132013-10-07August 06 20142014-08-06A barefoot man with long dark swept-back hair wears a sleeveless saffron-orange cloth draped over one shoulder and around the body, standing on a grey tiled floor in a plain white-walled room. Around him are brass deity murtis and figures including a flute-playing Krishna on the right, a figure in red and white on the left, a blue-robed figure, and a brass arched prabhavali behind them. Brass oil lamps stand in the foreground, and a glass-fronted cabinet holds framed photographs. A red-clad person is partly visible at the right edge. The man shows distinctive saffron clothing and long hair, so he is a probable Swamiji candidate present in person.2006-09-26A photograph of a room with a plain white wall and thatched ceiling where a row of brass and gold-toned deity murti statues are arranged on a white-draped table and floor. On the right, a figure in an orange turban and orange robes, with long dark hair, gestures toward the statues; the orange-robed figure is a probable Swamiji by appearance, with distinctive saffron clothing and long hair. Beside him, a man in a red and gold shawl and red dhoti stands facing the statues, and another man in a red-and-gold bag stands behind. Three more men stand at the left edge in white shirts and green-striped shirt, one in a white dhoti.2006-12-20July 13 20132013-07-13
