The murti wears an ornate jewelled crown and gold jewellery, with red and green garlands draped across its shoulders and a golden staff held in its hand. Gold-embroidered draperies and a carved gilded arch form the backdrop. The scene is lit warmly, with gold and red tones dominating.2011-12-28December 30 20092009-12-30A photograph of a man in a gold-embroidered cream and peach sherwani with a fur-trimmed collar and a cream turban places a yellow-orange thread or garland over a golden-faced metal murti of a goddess adorned with a red and gold sari, a jewelled crown and layered gold necklaces, holding a lotus-like object. Behind them are heaped marigolds, roses and green foliage, and a gilded temple frame. The scene appears to be a ritual adornment at a temple, with the man's figure visible but no clear, unambiguous appearance-based identification possible.2009-06-09
