Photo 11698430November 18 20162016-11-18December 10 20062006-12-10 +1 copiesA close photograph of a craftsman hand-working a copper vessel. He sits on the ground wearing a white dhoti and a white garment, with a thin silver bangle on his wrist, and holds a thin chisel or punch against the rounded rim of a copper bowl set on a wooden block. Iron tools lie on the wooden surface and beside it, including a flat chisel in the foreground and a hammer at the right edge. The copper bowl appears to be a metalwork piece being shaped by hand, and the scene suggests traditional metal craftsmanship.2009-07-20Close-up photograph of a craftsman's hands chasing a decorative relief design into a copper-coloured metal plate resting on a cloth-covered surface. He is seated, wearing a dark dhoti with a gold-yellow border, and holds a hammer and chisel-like tools against the embossed floral and scrollwork pattern. No face is visible. The workshop setting shows metalwork being shaped by hand.2011-10-22Close-up photograph of an artisan's hand working a copper sheet with a long, narrow chisel-like tool. The copper plate is embossed with raised relief figures, including curved scrollwork and rounded forms, and two additional tools rest on the surface. Only a hand and part of a leg in a dark garment are visible, indicating a single craftsperson at work on repoussé metalwork.2011-10-22November 29 20132013-11-29December 10 20062006-12-10 +1 copiesA photo of a craftsman seen from behind and above, working at a wooden bench on a small metal object. He wears a white sleeveless vest and has greying hair; he holds a tool and a small copper-coloured ornamental piece with a circular, petal-like rim of rolled metal. On the bench lie loose metal scraps, a small white container, and a basic mobile phone, with a piece of paper and newspaper beneath. The setting is outdoors in bright light. No a person candidate is visible; only the craftsman is present.2016-11-18November 20 20162016-11-20November 18 20162016-11-18September 03 20092009-09-03
