November 22 20162016-11-22A large outdoor ritual scene at a red multi-storey building under construction with exposed steel framing. In the foreground a massive dark granite Shivalinga rises from a black circular yoni-peetha basin, garlanded and surrounded by brass pots and offering plates. Robed priests in saffron and orange stand at the base, one pouring liquid from a vessel over the linga as abhishekam. Beyond, rows of red seating hold many devotees, most in orange and white clothing, with small brass lamps and kalashas set out. Two figures stand on a raised platform near the top of the linga, and red flags line the grounds.2016-11-22A large black stone Shiva lingam with a tall cylindrical top and wide round base stands in a tiered outdoor water basin, with water flowing down its surface and a garland draped around it. Two priests in saffron and orange dhotis, one bare-chested, pour liquids and tend brass pots and offerings on the platform around the lingam. Behind, rows of seated devotees in orange and red clothing fill red stepped seating beneath a pink multi-storey building with red flags and scaffolding. A stone figure of a deity stands near the steps on the right. No identifiable a person appears clearly; the priests are shown at a distance.2016-11-22June 09 20132013-06-09 +1 copiesA large black stone Shiva lingam with a yoni-shaped pedestal stands in a shallow water tank on a raised platform, with a white marking on its face. Behind it, several saffron-robed priests stand on a metal staircase and along tiered red brick steps, some pouring water or offerings over the lingam during an abhishekam. A red multi-storey building with concrete parapets and a few trees forms the background. Many more saffron-clad people sit on the steps in rows.2013-06-08April 25 20132013-04-25A large black polished stone Shivalingam stands on a black stepped yoni-peetha base outdoors, decorated with a garland of red, white, yellow and purple flowers draped around its upper shaft and a silver plaque on its face. Several saffron-robed monks stand on a white metal staircase and platform beside the lingam, some holding items, with more saffron-robed figures in the background. Tiered red stone seating and potted plants fill the foreground steps, and a red-brick multi-storey building with unfinished rooftop pillars rises behind. Strings of orange and purple bunting cross above the scene. A red flower blurs at the right edge.2013-06-24A large black Shiva lingam stands on a black yoni-shaped pedestal in water, its top draped with a garland of orange and white flowers. Several saffron-robed priests stand on a white metal staircase and railing at the left and the lingam's upper area, pouring liquid and offering flowers toward the lingam during an abhishekam. A red multi-storey building and rows of seated saffron-robed people on red-brick steps form the background. A small white plaque with lettering is mounted on the lingam.2013-06-06 +1 copiesA large black stone Shiva lingam with a yoni-shaped base stands on a raised platform in an open courtyard, draped with a garland of red, yellow and green flowers around its top. Sprinkling water flows from the spout of the base. Several saffron-robed figures stand on red tiered steps and a metal staircase around the lingam, some carrying vessels, while rows of small black lingams line the steps behind. Red multi-storey building and trees frame the scene, with hazy sky above.2013-10-21 +1 copiesJanuary 01 20182018-01-01 +1 copiesMay 22 20172017-05-22Early-morning photograph of a large black stone Shivalinga on a raised platform, set within a reflecting pool, with a multicoloured floral garland arch behind it and a silver ornament on its face. Rows of red stadium seating rise around the pool, and about a dozen people in orange and saffron robes stand along the staircase railings and on the upper terrace of a red-brick building. The water's surface mirrors the Shivalinga, the steps and the seating. The scene suggests a Rudrabhishekam setting, though the people are small and distant.2013-10-21
