August 16 20092009-08-16A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne (peetha) with a red cushioned seat and a tiger-striped backrest, draped in garlands of white, pink, yellow and purple flowers. The central figure wears a cream and gold embroidered garment, a light tan turban with a decorative crown ornament, and holds a trident (trishul) upright in one hand and a white flower bunch in the other. To the left, a woman in a white sari with gold border stands beside a table with fruit and a water bottle. To the right, a man in saffron-orange robes with red border claps his hands and stands beside a camera on a tripod. Behind is a painted backdrop of orange sunset mountains, and the floor is scattered with flower petals.2009-08-16A photograph of a seated figure on a large gold throne with red cushions, draped in garlands of white, pink and yellow flowers, with a trident leaning against the throne. The seated man wears a cream and gold robe, a pale turban topped with a decorative crown and peacock feather, and a pink and white flower garland across his chest. He holds a white flower in one hand and smiles. Flanking him, a woman in a white sari stands at left beside a table of fruit, and a man in orange robes with long swept-back hair, holding a camera, stands at right. A man in white clothes leans in, and a small boy in a striped shirt bends forward near the throne. Flower petals cover the red carpet, and a painted orange mountain backdrop fills the background. Appearance-based cues on the seated figure are a crown, turban, ornate gold-and-cream clothing and a trident, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) in person seated on the throne.2009-08-16August 16 20092009-08-16July 17 20082008-07-17A seated man in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate gold throne with a tiger-skin draped at its base, smiling as he lifts a gold-coloured headpiece with both hands. He wears a multi-strand rudraksha mala, a gold ceremonial necklace, and a large garland of white flowers with green, yellow and red accents. Behind him stands a painted deity murti with gold ornaments, and a gold lion-head carving rests beside the throne. A man in a white dhoti and shirt with a rudraksha mala stands at left with hands folded, while another person in orange clothing stands further left. a person is seated on the throne, identified by his distinctive saffron robes, rudraksha mala, gold necklace and throne setting; the throne and garland alone are not sufficient, but the combined cues qualify.2013-05-13A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with carved floral and deity motifs, draped in fresh garlands of white and red flowers and strewn with petals. The seated man wears an orange saffron robe, a white flower garland and an orange shawl, with dark shoulder-length hair. Around the throne, a woman in a white sari with a gold border bends forward with her hands near the petals, while two men in orange robes stand at the sides, one bending over at the lower left. A red cushion and red and gold drapery decorate the throne, and gold-and-silver patterned hangings frame the background.2008-07-17November 29 20092009-11-29July 12 20092009-07-12A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with a red cushioned back and a small canopy above, set before a red and white backdrop. The seated person wears an orange-saffron robe and a red and orange flower garland, with bare feet resting on a white cloth. A seated woman in a blue and pink patterned top and white sari kneels at the throne's base, while a man in white dhoti and shirt stands at left with hands folded, and two women in white and cream saris stand at right, one smiling. A bright red-and-white blurred backdrop and striped garland decorations frame the scene. The seated figure has long swept-back hair and saffron clothing with a garland, which fits the page-hinted Swamiji cues, so this is a probable appearance-based identification in person.2007-02-24A photograph of a festive indoor event under a pink ceiling canopy with a multicoloured fringed umbrella overhead. A man seated on an ornate gilded throne draped in yellow, red and white marigold garlands laughs broadly. He wears a white turban, a white garment and a gold necklace. Around him, men in white shirts and orange shawls stand smiling, and a man in white holds a brass tray with offerings. Women in the foreground watch, and one holds a folded cloth. A small floral and lamp arrangement decorates the wall behind. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure wears a white turban, ceremonial gold necklace and white garments with a flowing shawl, seated as the honoured central figure.2010-12-29A seated figure on an ornate gold-and-red throne is garlanded with pink and white flowers and a large white-and-green garland, wearing a cream turban, a gold-embroidered cream brocade kurta and a gold necklace. Before a painted orange mountain-sunset backdrop, a man in white shirt and mundu kneels at his feet and arranges flowers, while a devotee in white shirt holds a bundle of flowers. A man in saffron robes stands behind the throne beside a seated woman in cream-and-gold sari. A photographer in white kurta holds a camera at upper centre. Trays of apples, vibhuti or kumkum powder, rudraksha malas and flower petals are arranged on the tables and floor. Several people in white shirts stand in the background.2009-08-16
