August 17 20062006-08-17August 17 20062006-08-17Outdoor photograph under a red-roofed covered walkway at a temple-style ashram. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robe and a rudraksha-style gold bead necklace stands centre, smiling and holding a small orange object, flanked by a saffron-clad sannyasi with gold bead necklace in the left background and a man in saffron holding a gold-tipped staff with a trident-topped finial in the foreground. Behind them a crowd of devotees in white and cream clothes stands with hands in anjali, some women wearing yellow and white saris and garlands. A tall gold ceremonial staff and trident are visible at the left. The scene suggests a procession or darshan during a Brahmotsava celebration. Identity of the central figure is uncertain.2008-12-23A candid outdoor photograph of a group of young men and women in saffron and white garments at a monastic training gathering. In the foreground a smiling young man with a shaved head, a red bindi and white tilak wears a saffron shawl and holds the edge of it while carrying a bamboo pole with an orange cloth tied to its top. Beside him a young man in an orange robe with a red border and a reddish-orange shawl, also holding a bamboo pole, smiles. On the left a man in white kurta and dhoti wears a rudraksha mala and carries a white plastic bag. Behind them, women in white saris with orange shawls and men in white shirts stand near a red building and a lattice window, with more saffron-clad participants and bamboo poles visible.2006-08-17August 17 20062006-08-17A procession on a dirt road with a concrete wall and green trees behind. In the centre a man in a flowing saffron-orange robe with long dark hair and a red bindi walks with his hands raised in front of him, smiling. Around him are young men and women in white kurtas and dhotis with orange shawls, some carrying orange flags. On the right a man in an orange robe and orange turban carries a small seated figure of a saint in orange robes, decorated with a white flower garland, on a red tray. Another white-clad devotee holds a flower bundle. The scene is a pada yatra style walking procession.2008-08-07October 04 20142014-10-04August 17 20062006-08-17Outdoor procession on a dirt courtyard in front of red-walled buildings with green corrugated roofs. At centre, a figure with long swept-back black hair wears an orange saffron robe, a leopard-print shawl and a long strand of gold beads, and carries a long wooden pole. Behind and around him, devotees in white dhotis and white sarees walk, some holding tall poles, and a woman in an orange sari and a man in orange cloth walk nearby. Another person in white with a yellow sash films with a camera. Swamiji (probable): the centre figure's long hair, saffron robe and ornate gold beads match the page's cues.2010-11-11September 16 20062006-09-16A photograph of an outdoor gathering on a dirt path beside a concrete-block building with a corrugated roof and a tree with pink flowers. Several saffron-robed sannyasis walk among men and women dressed in white shirts and white dhotis, some wearing lanyards. A bearded man in a green garment and orange turban stands nearby, and a long-haired sannyasi in a loose orange wrap faces the group, with hands folded near his chest. Other robed figures wear rudraksha malas and gold necklaces. The scene suggests a community event at an ashram-style compound during a medical camp.2009-12-30December 31 20152015-12-31
